Quick HTML question

Post by Protectmyballs »

How do I make a small image appear and stay docked in the lower right hand corner of my page? The image itself takes up only a 16th or so of the page, so I also need to have a solid color background behind it.

Thanks,

I don't know about docking an image in the corner, but for a solid background color, <body bgcolor="#000000">
put whatever numbers you want for those zero's to get your color
I remember caring... It was nice.

I'm just guessing as to what you mean, but do you mean one of those things that will stay there, no matter where you are on the page? Like, it will scroll up and down as you scroll up and down so it always stays at the same spot?

If that's what you mean, you can't do that with just basic html. That involves some otherstuff, like Java or Javascript (probably, I'm not sure).

I would advise against it. Something that stays still while the webpage scrolls underneath it counts as movement (even though it's technically still) and is extremely distracting.

Which is why they're used for adverts.

Yeah, those little floaters are Javascript... it's code you can easily pick up free from most any site distributing Javascript code. Sites like that will also usually have all the directions for how to implement it for you; it's very easy to use bits of code from those kind of sites.
