I would check the wiki, but the damn thing's broken...forgive my feebleness, but my strip's already a day late.
I mentioned it in the thread already
use your FTP username and password with either 66.220.2.20 or you can ftp to your websites's address, but be aware that may not always be the case.
Just a quick question. I have tried the various ways to upload a file as explained in the net2FTP with no success, but I uploaded the file through the site admin and the file showed up in the workspace as it should.
is there something i should do differently from the old days of uploading a file to make it work in the new FTP?

thanks.
Well Net2Ftp is really just a web interface to the underlying FTP server, where as the siteadmin upload completely bypasses the FTP server. We have another tool that is rather depreciated as well that bypasses the ftp server, but doesn't work quite as well.
The only real reason for Net2FTP not to work are the same reasons why regular FTP doesn't work, it's either your firewall or your web browser setup. The siteadmin upload was only ever meant to one-shot upload, eg while you're on the road somewhere. As what it does is it uploads the file, then tells the updater to update... in theory at least.
