Indiana Jones and the FTP of Doom (FTP woes)

Post by Van Douchebag »

I like to access my ftps the classic way - through Windows explorer. I've never really hada problem with this... until now.

Now I absolutely, positively, something or other cannot access the Keenspace FTP for my (not so) glorious return to White Hydra. I even tried the computer of my roommate and his cannot either.

We both have very new and powerful computers which use Windows XP. Does Space hate XP, or didja all change up Space's ftp access while I was gone because I had no problems accessing it a few days ago.

Ftp seems to be down. I can't update my comic either.

Today I had to make some changes to my site and it was SLOOOOOOW.

Anyway in one of the FAQs there's the url for a dedicated browser-based FTP client to update stuff in Keenspace (I used it when I was abroad), give it a shot.

I think I remember that thing. I'm having problems too, so I'll give that a try.

Click it. Unless you don't want to. But remember, we're the only site out there with a monkey as a cartoonist.

Kisai said mySQL was having problems and everything had to be recompiled. Which was why ftp was/is down. Dunno the current status.

I still can't actually access my FTP through Windows, but the FTP client featured in the FAQ works for me. You'll probably want to stick to using that one for the time being.

So that explains why I couldn't upload by new batch of comics either.

Well, good thing I still have 2 weeks of buffer, so that's ok.

I am having a similar problem, yet I can't find the FTP link you speak of that is working...could you possibly give me the URL?
