Okay, I can FTP fine. My access to /public_html , however, is denied.

http://thwack.keenspace.com/ returns '403 Forbidden: You don't have permission to access / on this server.'

http://siteadmin.keenspace.com/~thwack/ returns '404 Not Found: The requested URL /~thwack/ was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. '

http://siteadmin.keenspace.com/cgi-bin/memberlogin returns '404 Not Found: The requested URL /cgi-bin/memberlogin was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered ... '

Furthermore, DNS has been off and on the past few days. thwack.keenspace.com has either offered 403 Forbidden, Connection Refused, or Unable to Resolve.

Any help that can be offered would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

it's all a known problem. The 403 error means that you don't have anything on your site :( (check the FTP) which means that you'll have to reupload all your stuff.

Sorry, I guess I forgot to mention this.

I am aware of that problem and have since reuploaded all of my comics, indextemplate and dailytemple, and my web page (I cannot upload my images because I cannot access public_html). All that was done before posting my request for help.

Will this problem resolve itself once AutoKeen is back in working order? As mentioned above, I cannot access site administraton to update the comic manually. Is there anything that I can or need to do myself, aside from waiting?

i've only heard of one other person who can't access public_html *hm* if you can't get to the directory at all you should write help[at]keenspace[dot]com including your problem in the subject (assuming it isnt' still bouncing emails). I'm sorry i can't be of any more help. Without access to public_html you can't update things by hand :( And yeah, whenever autokeen gets back up everything should update fine.
