So I made a kickin awesome looking web layout thingy on photoshop.
But I don't know how I should go about trying to upload it in a way where it would look right.
Should I try to just slice it up into pieces and hope it looks the same when it's in html?
Also just to be completely certain, does comic genesis work with xhtml or css? I think I read somewhere it doesn't but I just wanted to be sure.
A question in web design . . .

It definitly works with css, not 100% sure about xhtml. It may be worth the effort to create a little test page with some random codes and see which tags and xhtml the server likes (remember that you create the templates and the server software processes the templates to create the final html files).
Actually, having read what I just wrote, I'm pretty sure that xhtml won't work. The template files have to be named dailytemplate.html and indextemplate.html - any variations of the name and the templates won't work (even just using .HTML instead of .html).
The simplest way to get your site up and running is to use photoshop to cut up the image and generate the base html and tables (I think you need to switch to adobe elements or what the bundled program is) but then you'll need to modify the result to include the KeenTags. This will be a bit easier if you allowed space on your layout to include any KeenTags you wanted to use.

Right, I'll try slicing it first, and see if I have any problems after wards.

Actually, xHTML will work on ComicGenesis - my site is written using XHTML transitional.
What I believe Doc is saying is that your file extensions MUST BE .html; the code in the page can be HTML or xHTML - just remember to use the appropriate DOCTYPE in your code so the server renders the page correctly. See http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_DOCTYPE.asp for more information on DOCTYPES.
Hope this helps.

Oh goody - yes that does help. I wasn't aware if xhtml would work or not (I don't use it).

xHTML is like HTML, but a bit more persnickety. One of the biggest things is remembering to close tags - i.e., every <> needs to have a </>.
