I searched through the help center and found a thread about icons. I've even googled "icons" and found a site that told how to put .ico pictures in a website. Well, after doing all of this and updating the comic, it still has the stupid blue "e" on a blank piece of paper icon. I even put this bit of code in the dailytemplate and indextemplate (I put the icon in the workspace/images folder.)
<head>
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="workspace/images/favicon.ico">
</head>

Re: I'm stumped about icons
Assuming you did everything right, sometimes (and this is with IE at least) the icons don't always update, or get reverted back to the default IE icon (the blue E on the blank paper). Try deleting your temporary internet files and revisiting your webpage. Or, alternatively, just wait and see if on another day you notice it.

To link to images on your site, you use /images/, you leave out the workspace part entirely.
However even though you're using workspace, I can still see the favicon so I'm a little stumped, but take out the workspace part and it might work for you :V .
And yeah I think sometimes it can take a bit for it to show up in any case.
