Your post is a little confusing. Did you mean to say that you just can't log into siteadmin?

Since the system-wide problem has been fixed, try the normal refresher (log out of the forum, log back into the forum with Sanood and not sanood then log into siteadmin while still logged into the forum). Other than that, it might be a problem on your end. See if there is anything that you can turn off (like a firewall or anti virus) or instead of turning it off, add comic genesis to the approved list, and/or try logging in from a different computer.

Okay, I've been trying to log into the Site Admin thing, I use my Forum username and password to get there in the first place, but when I put my FTP Username and password in it says password does not match. I even tried copying and pasting it in from the email but that didn't change anything. I've posted four times in the help forum, and I've waited for over 24 hours. Please help me log in =(

I take it that you are trying to add your comic account to your forum account inside SiteAdmin.

First - make sure that the ftp password that you have works - either use an FTP program or use CG's WebFTP client to log directly into your comic account.

If you can - then try adding your comic, sometimes it takes a few days if your account is brand new for everything to start working properly.
If you cannot - you may need to change your FTP password. Sometimes the default password issued to new accounts does not work.

The CG WebFTP client and how to use it.
How to change passwords.

It might also be a good idea to read through some of the tutorials in the CGWiki if you haven't done so already (link in my sig).

Add me to the list of people unable to get into the siteadmin

I even tried posting a few new messages in the forums like you suggested earlier in this thread with no results..

I DO have access to my ftp though

Did you make sure that you're logging into the forum with KingofSnake and not kingofsnake or Kingofsnake?

The forum will let you in, but it'll block you when you try and log into SiteAdmin.

i'd also like to add my name to the list of those who can't login.
I've tried changing the password, but it has no effect. It also says that my username doesn't exist as well.

If you only just joined, it may take a day or two for your account to become fully active.

As per above, also make sure that you log into the forums with LadySibreria and not ladysibreria or Ladysibreria - the forum will let you in, but SiteAdmin won't.

I joined a few months ago..
I was able to login a month or so ago.
Kind of live in an odd location, so its hard to get on the internet sometimes and keep things updated and organized.
and my siteadmin name is farnorth, I never capitalized it, but I tried different variations just in case, but am still no go. :(

Actually - your SiteAdmin name is your forum username and you use your forum password.

You use the forum name / password to get into the forum, the wiki and SiteAdmin. You use your FTP username and password to access your comic directly via an ftp program such as Filezilla or Dreamweaver.

Assuming that your comic is farnorth.comicgenesis.com then you would use farnorth and your ftp password to access your site directly, but LadySiberia and your forum password to access SiteAdmin.

Unless you have a forum account under the name of farnorth and made the new LadySiberia account for another reason...

hmm I joined the forums then, but I just checked the memberlists and I don't seem to be on there anymore.
(I registered under this name because I seemed to have the same problem, and the CGWiki said the same thing).
I'll rejoin as farnorth and see if thats the problem.
if it works, thanks for clearing up that problem. :D

I just tried to login and I get an incorrect password message. Although I have been inactive for several months, I have posted 2 or 3 messages in the last several weeks. I am able to login to siteadmin, the ftp, and, obviously, this forum with no problems whatsoever. I have never tried to edit my wiki page before.

@ LadySiberia - you seem to be one of the people who doesn't post in the forum.

At a guess, I'd say that your original farnorth forum account was deleted. This is an anti-spam measure, accounts with 2 or less posts are automatically deleted on occasion. Re-register (you probably already have) with farnorth on the forums, make a few posts, log in to SiteAdmin and re-add your comic and you should be fine to get going again.

Let us know if you have any trouble.

@wp - Where are you getting the "incorrect password" message? From your post it would appear that you can't get into the Wiki but can get in everywhere else. There is a current known but unsolved issue with some people being unable to get into the Wiki, please post in the "Wiki doesn't like me" thread in the Help Center (should be a bit below this thread) if that is the case.

If it's not, can you tell us a bit more information about where the problem is occurring?

When you log into the forum, do you log in as chilli, Chilli or CHILLI?

Your username is CHILLI so make sure that you log into SiteAdmin with your forum name / password and that you log into the forum with the correct name / password (the forum will let you in with chilli or Chilli, but that will mean you can't get into SiteAdmin which is pickier but runs off the same database. Read this page for more details).

I have changed all the users on the forums to have the first letter UpperCased. If they login to the forums once, it should update the password for siteadmin. The wiki should now behave, it's not the solution I wanted, but it solves some others.

Not to be a bother, but I was having troubles logging in to my siteadmin to update my comic until I read this post. Now that I am logging in with the first letter capitalized in my username, it's fine, but for a while there I freaked when I got the message that I didn't have a valid account. I imagine some others are having this problem too, but are not yet aware of the cause. Just FYI. Apologies if this is a repost from elsewhere.
