update troubles [solved]

just wondering...

I'm NOT getting updated... anyone else having troubles?

Check the usuals:

• Do you have an index.html file in the workspace section? If there is, remove it.
• Do you have both templates with the right names - indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html? Remember that .htm or .HTML won't work, nor will Indexte... or Dailytem...
• Check to make sure that the dates on your comics are right and not for next month or next year.

If it is a system error, there will be plenty of people posting in here in a short amount of time...

check the usuals... a good idea. Maybe all my directories have been emptied by gremlins!

i posted all the usuals two years ago and they've worked fine...
until recently.

I will go look. that's a thought.

everything is there... and seems to include a few new feeds and pages I've never seen before
404s, etc.

excuse the disjointed typing, there's a hockey game on.
everything should be working... except it isn't.

Check your comics' settings to make sure that auto-update hasn't been turned off.

checked the settings took a minute or two to sift +find auto update.

it's turned on.

the timer wasn't.

STILL not updating...

The brevity of your posts isn't helping.

The normal cause for non-updatage would be either incorrectly named comic files (and you've been here long enough to know how that works) or an incorrectly named indextemplate.html file. Make sure that it is named correctly.

If it is, try deleting the indextemplate.html file and re-uploading it. That sometimes clears a jam...

reload indextemplate.html... OK I'll try it.

it STILL stuck on feb 22 thou...thou everything seems to be moving into the correct directories.

I just looked at your comic and it's showing comics from the 22 through to the 28th, one each day.

Either the problem has been fixed or you need to refresh your browser if you're still seeing the 22nd on the index...

I replaced the index and daily last night... and it's STILL coming up as feb 22d.

the previous button DOES show yesterday.

the default is wrong, it's not today. it takes the 22d. 20080222.gif
it works OK in yours?

I'm stumped. this is firefox here...

not updating. daily and index replaced a few times.
the directories are operating clean... everything that a normal; page should have.

It's STILL feb 22 on upload.
you can get past it with previous, but it still defaults to feb 22. for today

by the way, what is cnd5.tribalfusion.com? how do i contact them?

it takes a dogs age to upload... i'll betcha THEIR cache isn't updating (from the no2 server.?)

The one showing up now on the index has Moments, Moves and Magic 19 on it and is 20080301.jpg.

Try looking at it from a different computer. There is definitely something off with yours. You may also want to run an anti-virus check.

i hit refresh and the correct page comes up...

I'll ignore the fact it shows the 4th for the 5th. THAT looks like a feb 29th problem...

thanks anyway... but now I haveta find out WHY firefox updates everything but my cartoon.
