i just had one quick question; [solved]

Post by Anarchist »

hi, i haven't posted here in a while, but i couldn't find anything on this so here is my question;
could i upload animations saved as quicktime videos instead of images?
i was wanting to create a comicgen for animations i make but when i sent one for the "test comic" i wasn't sure if they would take it and send an activation key. so far i haven't gotten anything, but i'm sure thats normal.

Comic Genesis is primarily intended for webcomics, not films.

If you had a webcomic that on occasion had a video segment, and said video was hosted elsewhere (such as youtube) then that wouldn't be a problem.

If you wanted to host the video on CG itself, then you would need to match the size of the video with equal or higher webcomic content (a 1Mb video would need to be balanced out with 1Mb worth of comics). Note that you couldn't just use a hundred 'filler' comics, they'd need to be relevant to your story.

If you want your 'webcomic' to be presented in all-video format (so it's more of a mini-series rather than a webcomic) then CG isn't for you. Something like that would be better off (and probably be more successful) on youtube, googlevideo, zippyvideos or some such dedicated video-hosting site.

Ideally, you'd pay for a domain and hosting and have it all on your own site, but if you want it for free, then you couldn't do it on CG.
