Are you having difficulty logging into SiteAdmin?
Well, I wrote that cause it's the same as everyone else. Sorry. The exact words are:
Forum Username Cadence not valid!
You must have a ComicGenesis Forum login (or you entered a bad username or password, it is CASE SENSITIVE.)
Please see below for possible correct spellings:
Logout to try again (hit cancel)
That's a copy&paste.
* Windows XP
* Verizon Online
* Firefox
* norton AV
* @yahoo.com

I'm having troubles logging in but mine don't seem to be the same problems as everyone else's (at least from what I've managed to read).
This is the message I'm getting back each time I try to log in:
Your browser did not return the expected response Jedster
Referred from: http://www.comicgenesis.com/
User Agent(Browser) reports it is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9

Opera 9.21 (8776): Working
Nintendo DS Opera: Not working

Also you get this if you entered the wrong password, or have never logged out of forums.comicgenesis.com and back in after July 22nd 2007

I've tried logging in on different computers, with different browsers, and I even tried logging on through my Wii and got the same type response.
Info:
* Windows XP Pro
* BT Total Broadband (Wireless)
* Firefox 2.0.0.9, IE 6, Opera for Wii
* ZoneAlarm (Firewall, Anti-virus, anti-spyware...) on one PC, and Norton AV/FW/ASW on another
* Um for CG I use yahoo.co.uk
How my browser can be "broken" I don't know. I don't have problems with anything else at all, so it surely can't be a cookie problem or something. I've cleared the cache, history, saved info, everything, for each browser and it still gives me the same message.

Hmmm... another one on a wireless connection.
@ Jedster - just to clarify, you used to be able to log in and use SiteAdmin normally before, but are unable to now? And when you say "other computers", is that other computers on the same network or in different buildings (ie: wired).
I had the idea for a moment that if people registered on the forum from a wireless connection then that might upset something, but around half are people who used to be able to get in but are now unable to, which throws that idea out the window...

Yeah, sorry, the other computers are all on the same wireless network.
However, when I was able to log in before I've done so on both wireless (about 4 or 5 months ago), and wired (2-3 months ago). This is the first time I've tried to log in on this particular wireless network, and I haven't logged in to site-admin for about 2 months.

I resynced the database yesterday in one direction (forums to main) this is usually the reason why forums work and siteadmin does not (replication broken) If anyone who was having a problem before and is now fixed, fine. If you still have a problem, redo from start.
Neo: Check guide.comicgenesis.com , if it's out of date, replication is broken.

It works! Let's throw chocolates and flowers over Kisai.

I’m asking if you can accept the possibility, the idea, of any one ideology or belief system or faith or doctrine or lifestyle that may be just as good as yours. I want you to look at the world in all its splendor and glory, absorb its millions of cultures, imagine that you know and love every single living person, and ask yourself, really ask yourself - don’t cheat and look to anyone or anything for answers, but figure this one thing out all by yourself:

Holy crap! It... it works! IT WORKS!!
This is the first time in like six months I can get in! I didn't expect that to work--nothing else has-- so when it DID, I nearly pissed myself! Man, this has made my week. My month even. Kisai, Dr Neo Lao, can't thank you enough for helping us out on this. You guys are so awesome. <3
I'm going to go spread this good news to my friend; it should be fixed for her, too.

@ derutydragon - If you only just joined, then your comic account might not be fully active yet. Wait a day or two and then try again.
@ Bohemian - Since you have a capital letter, I assume that you already tried the logout / login workaround? Make sure that you log into the forums with "Bohemian" and not "bohemian". If you still can't get in, then pm me your details and I'll see if I can get in on this end.
@ picpak - I had a similar problem with an older version of Firefox where it was "impatient" and would time out too quickly. I never did find out how to change the length of time to try, but that might be the first place to try. I find the "after a delay" bit suspicious. What blocking / firewall software are you running?

I get this error
"SELECT user_unixname,user_id,user_password from KeenSystem.keen_users where user_id='27062'
works. Trying password
Password does not match."
I've tried both passwords, the sent one and the new one I setup. The siteadmin login doesn't work very well either. I type in my password and username and nothing happens, then I try logging in and out and suddenly it just pops me into my account. Is that how its supposed to work
?

I use AVG and the Windows firewall, but it doesn't matter because everything works perfectly now.Dr Neo Lao wrote:@ picpak - I had a similar problem with an older version of Firefox where it was "impatient" and would time out too quickly.
