the thingmajig got stuck in the whatsit and now the doohikies won't work.
(translation, my guess is that the Database system that the whole siteadmin runs on is having conniptions again)
"when a hero dies, he becomes a legend, that legend, with time, becomes a myth, then a fable, that fable, is then carved in stone, and when that stone crumbles, it is lost" - Takahn.
Well, I guess that answers my question about how the Queue is doing.
Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

This is fantastic.
This is exactly what happens with a stuck queue. As more people have their automatic updates kick off and/or run manual updates, the queue grows. With nothing coming out, it never shrinks. It may stink, but at least it's acting in a way that we are able to recognize and understand.
It is not, for example, eating the entries in the queue - shrinking the queue without updating comics.
Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."
Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
"Data" is not the plural of "anecdote"

This is also a good time to start thinking about keeping a mirror site, you know.
I blame all the site downage squarely on your head!

Am I alone in thinking that the help center is totally the wrong place for this discussion? Its description says it's where we go to ask for help. I wouldn't have thought to look here (back when I first came to the forums to find out what was going on) if someone hadn't mentioned it in General Discussion.
The help center is one of the first places I would look for information on this topic if I didn't know what was going on already. Mostly because I'd be concerned that the problem was on my end, such as having put a file in the wrong place and now it won't update properly.
It's a technical problem, and this is a good place to go for help with technical problems.
I don't see the problem either. The description reads: For requests for help from CG administrators, Wranglers, and experienced CG members. Please read the FAQ before posting. Also look at CG Wiki for tutorials and how-tos written by other CG webtoonists.
