Hello...
It's been about two years since I've accessed my (now defunct) comic. I have a young one on the way, and let's just say there's some content on my website I'd like to remove, lest young eyes stray that direction some day...
However, it's been so long since I've used my password, that I can't remember it. I tried using the change password utility, and it apparently sends an activation code to an email address.
Some questions:
1. How long does it take for the activation code to arrive in the email?
2. If I see no activity in my inbox, how can I check to see if my email info is accurate?
Thanks!

1) The password activation code is theoretically sent out immediately, but I've had a couple cases in which it took a couple days to show up in my inbox. Wait a week, and see if it appears after that. I doubt your little one would grow to computer-using age in that time.
2) If you haven't changed email address in the last two years, it's guarenteed to be the right one, since you had to use that email to confirm the account and all that. But there's no way to get into the account without knowing the password, more's the pity. If you have changed email addresses, and no longer have access to the old address, you're pretty stuck. You might have to get someone to remove that content for you.

Mind you, I'm no expert, but depending on the email host you use, it might have been diverted into a Spam folder or a Junk folder. *Shrug*...like I said, not an expert, but it's happened to me in the past.
Hope you get it all worked out soon.

Yeah, I figured that was possible. So to proof against that, I cleared out all of my spam and inbox prior to trying it again. That way, I'll be able to screen through all of the Viagra ads...Nomadic Phoenix wrote:Mind you, I'm no expert, but depending on the email host you use, it might have been diverted into a Spam folder or a Junk folder. *Shrug*...like I said, not an expert, but it's happened to me in the past.
