okay I've waited 7 days, and I haven't got any kind of confirmation...

I got the original email saying that my signup was confirmed, but I never got a password or URL info or any of that. It's been a week, but I've recieved nothing for the last 7 days. =) I'm anxious to get things started. ^_^

Please help me. :D

It can take more than seven days; mine took about nine. You should only worry if it's been two weeks, after which time your signup will be deleted and you'll have to sign up again (preferably with a different email address).

Hi there, my comic just got approved: http://bricksinspace.comicgenesis.com but now I'm a little confused.

I've been approved, got a username and password, registered for the forums, read a ton of FAQs and such, downloaded Smart FTP and used it to add some custom nav buttons and a new strip, logged into siteadmin and did a full update... and now I have to wait 2-5 days for my comic to actually start showing up as more than a blank page with a title? What if I date-named my next comic to update on Monday? I'm just a little confused.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not whining, I just want to make sure I understood the process correctly. Or should my first strip at least be visible?

Also, the update-delay chart still confuses the hell outta me (even after reading the wikki about it)...so if anyone can explain it, and how to change my settings for it if needed. When I signed up I think I just picked 1am for both and moved on.

Thanks,
Jared

It shouldn't take 2-5 days if you're seeing the blank website. Now, if it's been that amount of time since you got the initial confirmation, then everything should be fine and just run the update function as it is and behold - your website transforms before your eyes!

...hopefully. ^_~

Figured it out! I was only uploading pieces...I had to do the whole ki&kaboodle to get results... go figure.

Got to mess with it a tad still, but it's on it's way.

thanks,
Jared

For whatever reason, I guess the generated password for my signup didn't work. Where can I request a new one?

It's been about 4 weeks (I almost think it's been 5) since I registered for a site. I've recieved confirmation of the site's existence, I'll post the url in a second, but I still have yet to recieve a password.

Have I missed something in the confirmation emails or do I need to reregister?

Here's the url. At least the site still exists and I'm not hallucenating: http://heavywater.comicgenesis.com/

Try to request a new password even if you haven't received the original.

Hey

I've tried several times to get my strip submitted, but each time i hit "verify", the page just resets everything. I don't know why.

What's wrong?

Sometimes this happens if your sample is too large. Check to make sure it's not over 500kb in size.

Howdy.
It keeps telling me my area code is not valid, even though it definitely is.
Does anyone know the problem?

Sorry that's not much info to go on, but that's all there is. Everything works except the area code. I put my 5 digit area code in the first box and left the second blank.

thanks

Edit: Problem solved.

It was talking about the telephone area code, not my zip code.
The problem was that my cell phone is from a different state than my home address, so it registers as invalid. Might want to change that, or put a note on the form.

My comic's name is dp Bounties and every time I try to log in, it says the password is incorrect. I tried retrieving password, but then it says my comic's name is incorrect. This has happened on several occasions and I have not been able to ever create an account. Any help would be appreciated.

hi,
I've just signed up here, and I'm confused about this one thing:
is the first, the very first, email supposed to arrive instantly or is THAT the one that will not arrive before it has been seven days?
I thought it said that it would be about 45 minutes, but apparently not?

You comic name and your username are different. Make sure you enter the latter.

After signing up it will take aroudn 24-48 hours for you to get your confirmation e-mail, after that it will take one to two weeks for your site to be set up. Check to make sure that your e-mail account won't filter out the message, then engage your patience and wait for a bit.

Thanks :)

That makes waiting a lot easier, knowing that it's supposed to be a while :D

i'm having the same problem. does that mean i have to use the area code from the state i'm living in, despite the fact that anyone calling that number won't reach me?

So I sign up. I fill it in. And I press verify, I get the same page. Is that okay? Is it like that? Or is something wrong? Please help! I sent it twice just in case. Will the admin get angry with me?
