Newsbox and Split Name

1) I see a number of statements regarding a "newsbox"; is this still around?

2) I'm having a problem with the final line of mandatory code (Comic is sponsored....etc). My name is split between the top and bottom of the page; is there a way to fix this?

There's a newsbox but it hasn't worked for some while. Cortland made his own newsbox which some people have been using.

For the split name, I couldn't find your site so I don't know what to look for.

I went to Cortland's site however he doesn't want to add anyone to his newsbox that isn't part of his "Cornstalker" group. (Which is understandable.)

Is anyone else interested in putting together a newsbox?

Does anyone know how? (I suppose I could ask Cortland. heh)

If you'd like to make you own newsbox, I have instructions on how to do so over here. This might be a very useful thing for new members to share.

I've set up a public newsbox until Keenspace gets the official one set up.

The forum for that is http://forums.comicgenesis.com/viewtopic.php?t=69496

All you have to do is give me a link to a 150 x 300 pixel .gif (must be publically viewable, so upload it as a banner), and

then place

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://plotlessviolence.keenspace.com/n ... "></script> somewhere in your <Head> section

and

<script type="text/javascript"> displayAd(); </script> where you want it to show

Umm... That all looks swell, Mr Violence...

But I dont' think our comics would have a lot of cross traffic since yours is.. plotless violence.. and mine is an angsty shoujo dramedy...

In any event, I made my own. If someone would like to join they need only email me at pixiest (at) yahoo (dot) com with a link to their banner, and a link to their comic.

This needs to be in the head section of their page

I'd prefer not to put in any blatently pornographic/racist/sexist/homophobic/etc comics, but it doesn't have to be pure as the wind driven snow either.

Please note, until I can get to Kisai's old newsbox code and optimize it for speed, the old newsbox will be down.

There's alot on my plate now that Kisai's kinda inaccessible, so I may be a bit slow with getting to you guys. I appreciate your patience.
