2007 Post Mortum
It's time for the WCCA planning committee to start discussing what did and didn't work this year and I'd like to open the discussion up to the rest of you. So other than examining the categories (which we'll do later) and complaining that you didn't get nominated, what do you think worked well this ...

Audio of the Live Ceremony
It was a great experience and I only rambled on a little bit. Get it here http://gigcast.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=184365 or http://www.thegigcast.com has the links as well The audio has a bad buzz at times but there was noting that could be done to remove it without destroying the whole thing. Remember though that it's not the readers who vote, but your fellow web cartoonists. Make sure that they're aware of your qualifications.RemusShepherd wrote:Well, if you're stumping for ideas... I'm going to be asking my readers (only once!) to consider me for the Long Form and Superhero categories.

Actually there is no longer a Flash category. I assume you're refering to the Outstanding Use of the Medium category which is pretty much open for interpretation. However, be aware that these awards focus on comics, not animations, as long as the work remains mostly comic in structure, this category...

When we combined the categories of Superhero and Action, there really weren't enough Superhero comics to make it useful. But the great thing about webcomics is that they come and go, change and evolve almost constantly. That's exactly why we want you, the voters, to "nominate" future genre categorie...

Yes, we have combined these categories. Remember, all of the categories repesent the comic's performance during the previous year. So, with the exception of newcomers, characters have been designed long before these awards are eligable. Therefore this category is designed to award outstanding execut...

This is the first time that we've done a live ceremony, so we'll be seeing how it works. But no, nominees aren't required to attend to win (I'd be surprised if any of them are there). Yes, we'll still be doing an online ceremony. And yes, the folks over at the Gigcast will be recording the cermony a...

Yup, unfortunately the spam became too much to make those forums useful to anyone. I'm sorry we needed to revert to a single forum, but I think it may help everyone keep their discussions on track. But we've never really had a problem with self promotion. For the most part those "look at me" posts j...

Unlocking Forums
Hi folks. Apparently, somehow or other, I seem to have locked the entire WCCA forum and I can't figure out how I did it or how to undo it. I assume I'm missing something obvious, but I'd appreciate any help in figuring it out.
Thanks,
Mark Mekkes
