As of right....now, I am reading Gamearth, by Kevin Anderson, The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Illuminatus Trilogy, and as soon as I finish one of these, I'll be reading Fred Saberhagens "The Complete Book of Swords". My mother says I have a problem with reading too much at once.......

OK, I have just finsihed this...I guess you can call it a worldbook, and Its kinda like an anti-Shadowrun. Maybe if AD&D and Trigun had a love child...anyhoo, None of the people I usually play with are in town, and I need some feedback on this world. You know, like is the name good, are the characte...

I read Lord Foul's Bane, and it was an ok book. It was one of those knds of books that I really couldn't get into though. I had to conciously put forth an effort to keep reading it. Upon reaching the rape scene, I tried to see it from his point of view, and I can't really say that if I was in the sa...

I think...and dont quote me on this, but an anti hero is either a person who does good although their motives are entirly their own(like Stu throwing the knife cause he saw a chance to do it and get away), or a villan who does good because he forced to, through some outside means(cant think of an ex...

14-13, in favor of him leaving. Damn, it's gettin close. This is what being a fan is all about, you know. I bet T. is laughing his head off right now. Well, we have had well over 50 posts, but only 27 actual votes. This is great though. When are we going to realize that everyone has different views ...

Yes, but the geeks and freaks and nerds were not ostracized for insulting other people. They were ostracized for merely being different. Stu is the type that picks on geeks, and freeks, and nerds. Rikk and the gang were already being morally obliged by letting him in, they could have not let him in ...

Good point, Null, but Luke had one thing we don't, Midichlorians....trying not to laugh...And anyways, The Force, in itself, is a weapon. So luke oulda had one anyways, and I know thats not the point. We could get three diff threads going on the topics of guns and still not get anywhere...oh waitami...

Well yes, a gun is not the answer to everything, and a lot of things would be better off without guns at all. A gun is a tool, and I would prefer to carry one through a dangerous situation than be thinking all the time, "Damn, I wish I had brought that..." That, and the gun represents the proverbial...

There is a phrase, that once I actually realized what it meant, helped me get through a pretty tough time in my life, "You can't measure your wheat against another mans bushel." Stu looks at the world differently than most of us. He does what we all do, and assumes that everyone else thinks and acts...

Acradius, The only reason that Stu is an asset right now is that exact reason. He has a knife (pronounced ka-nifee). Now J. for example, as we stated here http://phpbb.keenspace.com/viewtopic.php?topic=35872&forum=162&start=15&20 agrees with me that, while talking your way through situations ...

Yeah, Douglas Adams went a little darker when he wrote Mostly Harmless. It was a good book, and I had to read the ending about 3 times before I got it all completely, but still, I think it was a rather fitting ending to one of the strangest trilogies ever written. "Now the world has gone to Bed, Dar...
