She's an odd duck, ain't she? I can only assume that a year's suplpy of lithium came with her free MT subscription.

Very amusing, and a nice pick. You have some pretty entertaining fans, Jim!

Iris is about an author (whose name escapes me ATM) who goes from being a brilliant, vibrant woman in her youth to being a sad, confused woman in her old age because of Alzheimer's. Broadbent played her long-suffering husband in their later years.

McKellan still should have won, I thought.

Jim asked about favorite comic artists in another thread, so I figured I'd post one about suggestions for less well-known comics of the paper variety you should be reading. I'll give my vote to Alias, from Marvel's MAX line. It's quickly beomce one of my must-reads. The art is just right for the noi...

He's a hard-headed man... I'm very interested in seeing where this goes. I can see the possibility that Esurio is trying to stop something that Iris may or may not be causing for the greater good, but why then involve Colby, and threaten to kill him on top of it? While it's not inconceivable that he...

That's a hell of an idea, Piano Boy. Very interesting indeed.

I noticed the nose thing myself, but I attributed Colby's sudden Karl Malden-like honker to the perspective it was drawn in.

Figured I'd weigh in again. Part of the problem you're going to have, Jim, is that meme of the Internet being "free." I have to admit that I've only recently decided to start dropping a few bucks in the can for webcomics. Remember, until recently, no one really paid for the comics; they came "free" ...

Tarbaby, Krank, that's exactly it. He sounds very cultured, I think, very much a "Welcome to Masterpiece Theatre" kind of thing, just a little deeper and more even.

Well, I don't hear him saying it like "Misssster Matthews" exactly <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> , but I would figure it for having the general evenness about it.

Am I the only who hears him speak in a very even, low-pitched timbre? Sort of like Agent Smith from The Matrix, if you've seen it. Just something about the cadence and his choice of words brings that to mind.

Today's page is very cool. I sort of see the depth of the tree being intended to reflect the depth of the story, that despite the amazing things Colby's already seen, there's still so much more to go.
