Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
Dazzler, from X-Men turned sound into light and energy crackles. Came out at the end of the disco era as a super disco diva, so her outfit and story was dated before her debut. But she pops back up every so often. I think Greg Pak wrote some good Dazzler stuff recently, though.

So, is it part of the application process of these news sites that you have to hammer back into place "Ye Cats! People put comics...on the Internet? How novel. Oh, and they aren't just Family Circle? But I Love Jeffy!" What next? "Internet now able to show videos: Is Youtube a thing people want?" "T...

Warm? Or Cool?
While doing the color flats today, I ran into a conundrum. See, after my complete loss of pages, I decided to redesign a character, try and make it a bit more purposeful, rather than making it up as I go along. But, in the thought process, I forgot about his coloring. His body suit has to be purple,...

Re: Another obscure question
Inkscape is decent. I don't know if it has any sort of scripting or animating thing. But it's not super complicated to make up vector images and stuff like that.

While I've never seen one to work great, Tumblr probably be pretty good, provided you find a theme that works really well with it.

Its in the program folder in the Wacom start menu, in preferences. As well it's in the control panel, but I don't know exactly as that's not the route I think I've ever taken

Re: Transitioning between scenes/strips
Here's when you switch scenes: when everything that needed to be said and done has been. When all the important stuff is done, move on. Also, try to have the last panel in a setting be one before or one after the end of a page, just so the reader knows for certain that it's supposed to be a differen...

Re: What can't work (easily) in web-comickry
Phact I said type so as to not limit it to Genres. I probably should have said conventions of webcomics. I used two genres because those are two paths you can take for webcomics I think are hardest, but if someone thinks comics that are long narratives are less likely to work that's what they can pu...

What can't work (easily) in web-comickry
Now, it's well established by anyone who's written about webcomics you shouldn't go into looking for success/fame/big money. That said, what is the least feasible type of web comic? What's really hard to make work? Whether it be because there's not really a market it's so off the wall or esoteric, o...

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.

Batman is just a thing I wanted to draw. The Joker is my attempt to ape JRJR's style as much as possible. Man do I wish he would do a not-terrible Batman story.

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
Dooms date with Storm ending with disaster weather was a fun issue, I also like Forge's date with Storm that ended with aliens attacking and Native American shaman magics involved. Very dangerous lady. The second date probably would lead to new ice age and tsunami and global disaster.

It's very sad, but he lived a good life, and he even came back pretty well from his stroke. Still, new years won't be the same.

Pre lined digital comic page
I meant to do this ages ago when I had to re-make it anyway, but just continued to forget. ANYWAY http://th06.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2012/034/d/c/comic_page_template_by_coconutmikenike-d4oiyne.jpg I made a template (here) page that I'm more than willing to share with anyone who wishes to use it. ...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
So I don't know if it's SmackJeeves or Gloomverse itself, but it has a really nice mobile version as well, using simple swipes to move forward and back through the archive, a dropdown of the archive, and buttons for home and comments. Zooming is also nice with the ability to pinch or double tap to g...

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
Not a doodle, really, but something I felt like sharing. I got a virus in January, and it wiped a lot of stuff out, including photos, music, and my comic and art stuff. Needless to say, it sort of burnt me out for a bit. Instead of Defenders of the Gene, I worked on pin-ups, new methods, and short 3...

This is very sad. I had only started to see his work as the incredibly important influence it was recently, maybe the last year or so, and the more I see the more I wish I had paid greater attention to a master of the art.
