Re: Do you have what it takes to be a superhero?
Hmmm.... I'd say you were probably a 5, as well... Maybe a little lower or higher depending... Hard to say. It sounds like you could end up treading the line between hero and villain... which brings you down somewhat.... That... and being overeager to be a superhero may indicate some lust for power....

Re: Hm... I'm not sure if anyone's noticed this or not...
Demonic in origin, huh? Well... Being demonic doesn't necessarily mean Lightbringer is evil. Raven has demonic origins... Hellboy... A variety of other superhero/superheroine characters.... Of course, generally, it does seem they have some sort of prophecy attached to them that says they're going to...

Re: "stress" [19/5/2010]
I doubt it'll be homicidal... He really maintains a strict 'no-kill' code... And killing someone would only serve to push him deeper over the edge... Schizophrenic, on the other hand, might be a possibility. I'm not sure how old Lightbringer is, but if he's in his 20s, it's entirely possible for him...

Re: "stress" [19/5/2010]
Yeah, I remember that he talks to his dead parents (considering he's older now this has gone way past what is healthy)... Although, it could also be something of a therapeutic thing for him.... It's still rather not normal... However, Lightbringer has managed to stay fairly sane and kept his wits ab...

Aha! A white grim reaper...
We kinda already know in advanced that Lightbringer has some villain person all white Grim Reaper-style... But the characters in the comic don't know that, of course.... Dressed all in white... and the heat coming down on Lightbringer... I imagine some people are suspecting him of being the mysterio...

Re: "stress" [19/5/2010]
Visually, it is indeed very awesome... Hmm... Is Lightbringer being cagey and evasive? He says he's having a hard time concentrating because of him bending all the light particles and everything... But you're right about the whole mayor thing... Maybe Lightbringer is having a hard time coming to gri...

Agreed... The cover art oozes awesomeness... One thing, though... It does seem, at least to me, a bit odd... where it ended and all....
I guess I had expected this arc to get resolved before moving on...

Re: Yes.
Not only that... but I would argue... can we really care about what she says? Should Lightbringer care about what she says? I mean... Haven't seen all that much interaction between the two of them... They don't really seem all that close... Michelle rather lacks in personality... so, it's really dif...

Re: YES!! I was hoping this kind of scenario would happen!!
I am not a lawyer nor a law student. I haven't taken any law classes. Just want to put that out there right off the bat... But as far as I can tell... There appears to be a fine line between citizen's arrest and vigilantism. As near as I can tell... Lightbringer has only crossed the line once... Reg...

CAKE?! WHERE? //O.O\\ ... Umm... Eh... Ahem... //>.>\\'... Superboy looks human, though... How would they be able to tell whether he was an alien or simply a super-powered human boy? He'd probably have to produce proof that he comes from another planet, and therefore, cannot technically be called hu...

Without resorting to full-on vigilantism? Right? Don't think that would happen if he allows himself to be detained...
Anyway... The uncertainty is kind of a good thing, isn't it? Keeps you on your toes...

YES!! I was hoping this kind of scenario would happen!!
Latest comic... Feb. 10.... "So you think I should turn myself in?" - Lightbringer... Why do I love this scenario so much? I can't say... There are just some situations I never get tired of! It will be interesting to see how this plays out... So, what do the rest of you think? Made of awesome? Clich...

Re: Do you have what it takes to be a superhero?
:D... I'm glad that interest in this thread has picked up a little bit. Thanks for the thorough response, Core. You definitely sound like you have the makings of a hero! I have to say, though, I am quite envious.... Sounds like you have a family history of everyday, ordinary heroes (doctors, soldier...

Well, Nifar... You do have at least one quality of a superhero. You're pretty honest. //^_^\\

Re: "The Ends don't Justify the Means." [12/9/2009]
Other than the way he dealt with the Slavers, I didn't have any major issue with Lightbringer... ...until the current issue, at least. What really bothers me is that when given a chance to work within a genuine law-enforcement agency - to do things the right way - he rejects it, saying "no, my abil...

Re: Hm... I'm not sure if anyone's noticed this or not...
Well, first and foremost... I found it on Wikipedia... when I was searching for a Lightbringer entry.... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifer It's also in several other places.... www.latin-dictionary.org/lucifer www.answers.com/topic/lucifer Hmm... I just thought of something... Wasn't Lightbringer's girl...

Re: "The Ends don't Justify the Means." [12/9/2009]
Interesting quote. Hmm... Is this "A Man for All Seasons" a play? A movie? A book? Let me know... ... So, I guess we've established that... realistically, superhero vigilantes would not work. (Unless anyone else thinks that they can effectively argue the point. Although, I can't see how...)... Hmm. ...

Re: "The Ends don't Justify the Means." [12/9/2009]
And why would superheroes willing to get involved with the police necessarily be good? There are people willing to join the police who aren't good. What's to stop a superpowered guy from working with the police...and then taking bribes? Profitable, and safer than going out to commit crimes himself....

Hm... I'm not sure if anyone's noticed this or not...
I don't want to make too many topics or flood the forum or anything like that... It's just I found out something interesting today and I couldn't resist commenting on it... Did you know that Lucifer is Latin for "light-bearer" or "light-bringer?" Weird, huh? Wonder if that's part of the reason why D...
