One of these fonts is evil.
One of these fonts is used in my webcomic.

My question; Are they too alike?

Re: Livejournal-style Whining Thread 2.0

I buy them 4 at a time and that can last me about a week or two if I'm also going out. If I'm home and don't go out at all I could go through 6+ all day. Last summer I got my first real full time job programming, and my caffeine addiction went out of control. I was drinking roughly 4-6 20 oz bottle...

Not quite a jam, seeing as it's pre-arranged[...] Alright, I don't mean to derail the train of awesome you guys are building out of pictures and text, but you say that as if a Jam has to spontaneously erupt out of the aether before it counts as a jam. Maybe it's because I'm new around here, but I a...

Re: Clicking to see the next panel?

The current standard never really bothered me that much. Of course I read ~25 comics in RSS and my reader loads the next 5 in advance, and when I'm really binging I'll be reading the archives for 2-4 comics simultaneously. Switching back and forth as pages load while reading multiple comics feels li...

Re: An observation, and a question.

I haven't been here long but I don't get the feeling that allowing people introduction threads would fix what ails the forum, I think the real issue is that new people start a comic, log in, see nothing much going on and continue their comic without thinking much of the forums. I always found it str...

Re: Celebrities are dropping like flies!!!

My friend made a very depressing joke. When Farrah Fawcett died she was at the pearly gates, and God said "what do you wish?" and she said "I want to save all the little boys in the world" and then Michael Jackson died. It made me feel very sad... {:3 That's alright, I said Michael Jackson died bec...

Yeah, It's nice that the site makes one for you, but it's not exactly the nicest looking RSS ever. Do you know if there is a way to modify what gets put on the feed.

They actually have auto readers these days that work fairly well, I overheard one of the blind music students at my college browsing the internet.

Uh ... can you provide a link to the Keenspace SiteAdmin? I thought the old one had been deleted, though there might still be a few stray bits of code from it. I don't know if it will allow members to trigger updates though. (For those not aware, Comic Genesis used to be called KeenSpace.) I know I...

I had temporarily forgotten about the Yardbirds(reformed), and was stuck pondering "How did they manage to get any combination of Clapton/Page/Beck in the same place and subdue their egos enough to bill it as just The Yardbirds?"

Re: What is your production time?

Well, it gets a little complicated since we're not in the same city. I officially meet with the artist and the writer every other week, we talk about story direction an character development and whatnot, we sketch out a page or two in thumbnails until we all agree on how it should look, this lasts s...

Re: I'd like some tablet advice

Newegg has a wacom store here. They seem to have around four 5.8" by 3.7" tablets for $100 and less, if you want one bigger than that they start breaking the $200 price tag.

FYI, pressure sensitivity is delicious.

Did you ever watch firefly? In addition to 'Gorram' they did a whole host of things with colloquialisms. There's a list here.

Onamonapias

Allright, I know what a laser sounds like, or rather, what it should sound like, but I just can't seem to get it right. Fzzr, Bzzr, Zzzz, they all just seem a little off once they get to letters.

Does anybody have any advice? For laser noises or just any onamonapia in general.

Picture for context:

I'm not the artist, but I do recall hating most of the art i did back when I did art. I always thought the best way to go about it was to try something outrageous. Something you, and those around you, doubted that you could do. If you succeeded then congratulation, your more awesome than you thought...

Whoa! Careful with the C-word there, we're using Comicbook for the narration and Komika for the speech, there hasn't been any sounds yet but we will be using Deathrattle for sound effects.

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old

How about plugging your new strips while you're at it? Well, if you insist. Perdire is a Sci-Fi/Space Opera based webcomic run by myself and two friends. It differs from most other webcomics mainly in the fact that it is non-comedic, but more akin to traditional comics. We have three pages up right...
