Question re: site design [Solved]

I have what I think might be a silly question, but somehow I can't get my mind around it: I'm currently working on my site design while I wait for my registration to get through. Now I'm a total html and css amateur but I have managed to put a nice little design together. Now my question is this: ma...

Re: Woods and Keys Critique

I like the strip a lot. I know you said that you will be trying to keep the "teacher gags" to a minimum and I think that's a good idea since it will keep your audience as wide as possible. The art is outstanding and the writing is above average for sure. I would try to hone in on a writing style and...

Re: Something interestingly new in ways of presenting webcomics

My thoughts: I agree that over time, the viewing public might get used to it, but at first glance, I am not a fan at all. IMO the rollover text could be effectively used for non-dialogue text but I just can't get around the distraction of moving the mouse around looking for text that I missed. I wou...

Re: Bubbles and Fonts - oh my!

I agree about the Comic Sans thing. IMHO no new webcomic should use a font that comes packaged w/windows. It's just too synthetic looking. I've picked a good font I found online which looks a little like panel four, but is a little darker and a little more random looking. Now comes the fun part - de...

Bubbles and Fonts - oh my!

Hey there. I've got a comic strip in development right now that I'll be putting online here and I've got a few decisions to make regarding fonts and speech bubbles. Please see the sample strip below (and disregard the art as it is also in the experimental stage). I think I am leaning toward panel 4 ...

Re: Marvel or DC? Not Mac or PC.

I grew up with Marvel (Spider-man, Iron Man, and Daredevil) but have also enjoyed some DC (Mike Grell's Green Arrow comes to mind). I would tilt toward Marvel but I'm really whizzed at them since they keep destroying everything and then fixing it with some magic or some other cheap gag.

Re: How to get better at writing comics?

I've only read little bits of this thread here and there, but I will add my 2% of a dollar thusly: To get better at writing, any type of writing, one must write. Call it practicing if you like but when one wants to get better at playing the violin (something I know a thing or two about), one has to ...
