Re: Comicgenesis appears to be down...
I am guessing all the brand new comic sites are wiped... My new one just got approved yesterday.

Re: Comicgenesis appears to be down...
Well that's obvious, I was just pointing it out that it figures the forums would still be up so that we could come here and complain lol...

Re: Comicgenesis appears to be down...
No idea what's going on. I haven't checked any of the comic sites but I know the FTP is down right now. Forums are running fine though... Odd.

Comic Layout - Need Help
So, I've recently made the transition into doing a web comic and I wanted to know if there are any set ways to create a layout for my web comic. Do I use a pre-made template with panels done how I want them or do I create the panels myself? Should they be a certain size? Should the entire comic page...

Re: web-FTP help!
Hmm, I tried Seagull FTP and I was able to create a new directory just fine. I'm not entirely sure why it wouldn't work for you... I would suggest grabbing Seagull FTP and using it instead. If you need help with it I will provide it. I've been using that program for years.

Re: web-FTP help!
I'm guessing it's an issue with the user permissions. Perhaps none of us are able to add folders, I'm not sure because I haven't tried. I'd suggest trying it with an actual FTP client such as Seagull FTP or SmartFTP. Search for them on google. You can get Seagull FTP for free and it's a great and si...

Re: Comic Won't Update
I have uploaded the new comic to workspace/comics but it hasn't updated. I may have made the mistake of uploading it to workspace/images as well as in the public_html side. I'll remove anything that's not supposed to be there and see if it actually updates... Thanks for the help thus far. EDIT: Even...

Re: Inkscape tips and tricks
Sounds good. I'm just curious if it would be better for inking than doing it freehand or with the pen tool in Photoshop. I'm really stubborn about how I ink stuff, I like the freehand approach even if it looks bad compared to traditional inking.

Comic Won't Update
Hi there. I'm very new to CG but not new to ftp/web applications and such but I am having a real problem with updating my comic manually. I've uploaded my second page and I waited until the next night, thinking it might update at midnight and it never did. I waited a few more days and again it didn'...

Re: Tokyo Pop's New Contract Ripping Off Artists
Holy hell this is awful! After reading snippets of the document, I have come to the conclusion that you'd have to be deemed clinically retarded to actually go through with something like that. *Sighs* People these days.

Re: Inkscape tips and tricks
I may try this out. I wonder how it would make inking lines look... I'm curious to know what benefits this program has over Illustrator or Photoshop for doing this sort of stuff...

Re: Artist Tutorials
This thread makes me a very happy person. A lot of good stuff that'll help me with my digital drawing skills. Haven't seen one but is there anything that shows how to simulate realistic inking digitally? I'd really like to know as I am in dire need of something like this...

Re: Digital vs. pen and paper -- a.k.a tools of the trade
Since I lack a scanner, I've had to work entirely digital lately. I don't like it as much as traditional penciling/inking and I don't know how to make it emulate that effect either, I wish there was a way to just, ya know, do it.

Re: HELP for Comic Genesis Signups
I just *VERY* recently signed up for CG and I am wondering if my email is bad, since I'm with Rogers and they merged with Yahoo! and of course, they use their email system as well. Does that mean I'm somewhat screwed?
EDIT: It was approved so disregard this message, thanks.
