Re: Could need some critiqe..

Like it a lot, and the English is fine in this one.

Only criticism, as above, is you could have *slightly* thicker outlines to the characters. Not too much, just a little bit.

Well done. :)

Re: Cafe Press and/or alternatives?

http://www.spreadshirt.net if you're in Europe. http://www.spreadshirt.com if you're in North America. Much less limiting than CaféPress on a free account - and mostly good value, though the mugs are a rip-off. Oh, and you can enter designs into the "Marketplace", so if it's a *really* good design, ...

Re: Post-It comics - updated everyday

It does actually look good in most of them (it suits the one on this thread very well), I was (half) kidding. You can fit more onto the post-it if you type, which is the cheating. Do whatever works best on each comic. Some of them might suit hand-written text more - as you don't use exactly the same...

Re: Post-It comics - updated everyday

Like it.

Though I can't help feeling that typing the words on afterwards is cheating a little bit.

Naughty naughty.

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old

Hello.

Ain't been around much the last few months (not that I was around all that much before). Been off volunteering in Tanzania with a project I helped set up.

But I'm back now.

Hello again. :)

Re: My new comic - Your thoughts?

What would it possibly accomplish to put each panel on a separate page. The pages would load quicker. It would make people think, "Oh, I'll just read this little bit." Then they could click next and read the next page. Then they could save the page they were up to in their bookmarks, making it much...

Re: My new comic - Your thoughts?

My thoughts:

* Put each page on a separate web page. It's too much all in one go.
* The text is far too small. I'm not going to try to read anything that small.
* You sound stupid when you reply to your own posts like that.

:D

Wow.

Two good comics in Comic Pitching in one day. I shall try to remember to link to you, when I'm not about to go to bed.

Though I'd suggest formatting your page a bit better - makes it look a little bit amateur having everything left-aligned and text-links like it is.

Re: EvilFlea

Ha ha! I like this one: http://www.gunsnreligion.com/extras/2008/12/14/twsor-34/ Good point on the stick comics. Maybe I should start having some kind of moral to each cartoon. Like, "Kids, it's all well and good wanting to grow up to be a model, but some people make themselves very ill in trying to...

Re: EvilFlea

Thanks :) Yeah, I'm experimenting a lot more with different styles. It's gradually been creeping in but stick men are probably going to be rather less frequent, though they won't disappear completely - certainly they'll feature quite heavily in the "Sketchbook" stuff. I've been toying with a rather ...

Re: A Tribe Called Jonas

Adding lettering by computer can be a nightmare, particularly if your comic looks very hand-drawn - I think you might just have to work on the handwriting. Try capitals, perhaps - they're a bit easier to keep consistent I think. There's often a thread or two on here about lettering, so you're not al...
