Re: Sketchbook Sundays!
Only Werewolf appearance we had was a schaman who basically dropped by to explain to the Prince what a bad idea it was to declare a random hunting party against them. The rest of us were busy trying to cover behind eachother while trying to preserve face. And it looks like we are about to play a bun...

Re: Odd thoughts about fiction
I agree with that. Anyone who tried that with greenskins in ShadowRun would rather be labeled a deluded serial killer and thrown in a padded cell (if they are lucky) by Lone Star. Any party, in mostly any game I run, that starts using mutations, apperance, racist demeanor and other to justify wholes...

Re: Dark Heresy
My favourite group to play is the Adeptus Mechanicus. I'd consider putting together a Techpriest costume if I ever needed one. But with the ideas we have now, cybernetic costume props might come in handy.

Re: live-action?
There are usually some requirements for characters. It ranges from "A patrol with max five guardsmen" to "Whomever you want, as long as she lives in the city. And has a superpower". Improvisation is usually the key. I don't think we ever use xp. Characters pick stuff up when it happens. The largest,...

Re: Dark Heresy
Technically you could create a PC Space Marine. Having an NPC Space marine model is also useful. I'm just cautios about allowing super-powered PCs.

Re: Dark Heresy
Marines carry around an awful lot of modifications to themselves, not all of it readily available. And even if you would copy their gear, training and 300+ years of experience, you wouldn't still be one of the brothers. The Marines don't strike me as ideal PCs, if you aren't going for the more extre...

I think that's my cue. *Puts on the sociologist hat*
Research on subcultures is an active field in contemporary sociology, which I believe that the participants of these hobbies constitute. I don't have any data available, but I would love to read up on class backgrounds, ethnicity and all the rest.

Other's characters: The two Swedish Ventrue farmers who lived outside the city in their old family farm (they had some agreement with the werewolves, I'm not sure what they offered to be elft alone), where they sold dairy products. They appeared in colourful farmer's clothes, and spent the night tal...

I've started learning detailed medieval economic customs and regulations for a LARP, including how to file a double-entry yearly status report and world-specific data on natural resources, trade routs, ship design, international relations and our own company's organisational chart.

I know that. My cousins seems to be getting geekier for ever time I meet them. ^^ The attachment to certain groups always seems a little awkward to me. I love bringing in, or jumping over to, other people. Otherwise, conventions are always nice. We tried random group assignations for a local (and ve...
