Re: A Skewed Critique
Thanks Wendy, all fixed! Everything should look pretty and minus the white pixel fringes now.

Re: A Skewed Critique
Actually not long after that response, I thought of a way to do it. Strangely enough, not only does it fit absolutely perfectly into the storyline, but it even makes things easier for me at one point.

Re: A Skewed Critique
Hey, I didn't think anyone would respond by now! The only suggestion I have is maybe increase the contrast for the night-time scenes It's no longer night now, but I'll make sure to find a way to do that. I guess my computer showed it just fine, but others, especially Macs, have problems like yours d...

<3 Nerf.
Either that picture was taken in a mirror, or you're from a parallel universe. Yeah, I'm thinkin' the universe thing.
In which case, <3 Fren.

Re: Does anyone actually read "History" Pages?
History pages frighten me. The ones I come across are usually long, boring, and explain way too much... feels like I'm reading essays. A Wiki would be nice; much easier to read through. The main thing I'd say is just don't go over every fine detail of your world in an attempt to rationalize it all.....

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I honestly can't remember the last movie I watched in a theater... I did finally see Transformers at a friends recently though. Not bad, it didn't really immerse me, but it was fun to watch.
I am looking forward to actually seeing a few of the comedies coming out. Anyone else excited about Zohan?

Late Spring Cleaning
I spent several hours last night cleaning out the nearly endless junk out of my closet... seriously, it was like pulling clowns out of a teeny car; how much more could possibly come out? But yeah, the result (save a clean closet) was a trip down memory lane... good and bad. Among the unearthed relic...

Re: Webcomic Hate
My artwork evolved ridiculously fast, so consistency is one of my problems. I've been doing good as of late, letting changes happen naturally and not forcing them. I should really be making some practice sketches once in a while... the vast majority of my sketchbooks are just what goes into the fram...

Re: Webcomic Pet Peeves
Hoo boy, where to start! What hasn't already been said? - Having to click a link to go from the home page to the comic is fine... but needing to click your way through a forest of overcomplicated navigation links just to reach the reason you went to the site in the first place, bah! >_< "Click the c...

Re: Best Ways to Get Word Out?
Project Wonderful ads are a personal favorite; a few cents a day for button ads on popular sites is a easy investment to promote your comic.
Banov's got a good suggestion too. Just share your comic with everyone you know. After all, what's the worst they'll do... not go?

Re: Critiques for new comic
I love your style and the feel of the comic, so keep that up. :-) I agree, you should put some work into the website. HTML is really easy to get used to. Between comics, just Google "basic html" or something to that effect, and you'll pick up simple things that will do wonders for your layout! Just ...

Re: How important are backgrounds?
I'm with Joel on that one. For short comics that use quick, one-time gags, I don't think backgrounds are necessary at all. With larger story-driven comics, that are set in specific locations, I'd see backgrounds as being more important. Of course, it's all up to the artist to decide how detailed to ...

A Skewed Critique
How witty. Heya all! I've had A Skewed Paradise ( http://aspcomics.comicgenesis.com/ ) up and running for nearly seven months now, and I figure I may want to seek feedback other than my own. :-P I apologize in advance for the long post-- I'll try to make it bearable to read! Any and all comments, co...

I don't use PSD files as the final comics, of course. After working on them in Photoshop, they become 600x771 GIFs. Dunno why, I've always liked using GIFs, they warm and soft, like a cat... but they don't purr. :shifty: I use a handy 250GB external hard drive for backup. I know where you're coming ...

Killing, not yet. But switching from grayscale to color mode may have made the final push to killing. My old format was 6300x8100 at 300ppi. After tinkering, I've come up with 4800x6168 at 1200ppi... effectively reducing my file size by approximately 99%, from 292Mb to 3.15Mb. Productivity is up 926...

PSD File Size
Hello and so forth. At the moment I'm in the process of changing over to full-color comics and for that and a few other reasons, I'm reworking stuff like file size. I've been looking around fruitlessly, then figured asking the many artists here should work just dand... ily? Obviously there's no "rig...
