I actually spent about half of my academic career as a public and half in catholic school. I was surprised that there was actually more diversity, race, ethnicity, income and views, in the catholic schools than in the public ones. The biggest problem was/is the alumni assoc. won't lay off! That's true of most things. I know a guy who's only idea of art is landscape painting. I dunno, it seems the only people that enjoy conceptual art are people that have art degrees. And even then many of those people hate it. I rather enjoy conceptual art. The focus isn't so much on technical skill,...
