In regards to Friday's page:

The last panel wins the award for making Pete laugh when he's having a really bad Friday morning.

We have Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery. I've looked through it a few times, but never really studied it. I tend to look around me for physical references when I'm drawing.

Going back to something you said earlier, though, I totally need a book on perspective. Oy vay...

Yeah, I guess it's not just not doing art school, but there was a about a 5 year period where I just didn't draw at all. Before that, I still can't honestly say I had any inspirations. I think I tried to imitate several people (Gary Larson, Bill Watterson, etc.), but not much ever really stuck with ...

That's pretty cool. I don't know if I could list 10 people that have influenced me. There are a handful for sure, but really I just pick up a pencil and draw, and in my travels if I see someone use a technique I like, I'll play with it. I guess that's what I get for not having gone to art school. ED...

Quite honestly, I would have moved out and refused to pay my rent until something was done about it. I know I'm a guy and I'm supposed to be all macho and "I can handle anything", but maggots have always grossed me out, freaked me out, and given me nightmares. I can't even believe I finished reading...

I was hoping to put my marketing skills to good use this weekend and help you out with some suggestions, but a certain Halloween costume needed to be finished. If I get a chance (and work is slow) I'll play around with some designs.

I don't think PW is the best thing since sliced bread like a lot of the (excuse my use of this, but it works) circle-jerking webcomic "experts", but it has been pretty good to me. Usually when I do an ad campaign I pull in a decent amount of readers (meaning that I actually have people staying to re...

Re: NJ's Comments and Complaints on A Small Problem

Oh, and drawing tiny people is hard too, damn you and your shrink gun Eddie. You're just lucky one of your characters isn't a fairy. I know the pains of drawing tiny people all too well. As for backgrounds and perspective, I'm in the same boat with you. I'm thinking of getting a drawing book on per...

Re: Slang is weird

Parking on campus costs like around $800 a term. They hate cars at my school, I have learned the ways of the bus, which is another new feature to me. Holy jumpin' weasel fritters on a hot cross bun!! $800?? And to think I grumbled about paying $60 per semester... And yeah, I simplify the whole coll...

Best Job in College

Oh man, you got a computer lab monitor job? That's the best job you can hope for in college! Well, second best. I had a computer lab monitor job my freshman year, and it was in a lab that nobody used because nobody knew it existed. Seriously, I think 2 people came in the entire year I worked there. ...

Get Some Rest

For cryin' out loud, if I can take days off and be late with my updates because of stupid things, you can certainly take time off to get rested up and well, and not feel bad about it!

It's the rank between Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Supposedly it's a compound word formed by "We Be Loyal Scouts", which I thought was retarded even way back then.

Wow, 100? I always wondered how well the Spotlighting thing worked. And yes, I am embarrassed that you aren't on the links page yet, but I haven't had time to play with it yet (redoing the links page is always a good 15-20 minutes). You will definitely be on it by this weekend at the latest, though....

Wait, you write Barsworth? I just found that a couple of weeks ago! It's brilliant. :D Danke! :-) I only hope I can keep it up as long (and as good) as NJ. As for your navigation problem, are you using a different browser at work than at home? Probably not the solution, but I always try to find the...
