A quick note- H.P. Lovecraft actually did invent many of his gods. Some were Biblical, Satanical, or otherwise, but some were original. For instance, Azathoth (chaos), Yog-Sothoth (?), the famous Cthulhu (alien-god), and Nyarlathotep (evil behind chaos) are all original, I believe.

Actually, a murder is for crows. For ravens, we have a constabulary, a conspiracy, or an unkindness of ravens.

As for ones I've made up, I would like to suggest a writhing of octopi and a terror of squid. (The plural of squid is squid, not squids.)

(A rather well-armed hedgehog falls into being in the aren's center. He surveys the inhabitants.) "An entire arena full of heavily armed Jack readers pumped of bloodlust and foolishness? This promises to be fun." (He casually whips out a Jackhammer and raises it to his shoulder.)
-----------------...

There once was a kid named Fnar,
Whom Hell would just never scar.
Thanks to some crows
He's missing his nose
And lives in the brimstone and 'fahr.
Okay, so I had to resort to a Southern accent. At least I tried.
------------------

Out of curiosity, what happens when some unfortunate bugger in Hell dies? Does he just lie around for a little bit and then get back up? I doubt that whatever rules Hell will let them out of eternal torment that easily. After all, the strip has mentioned people getting killed down there, and some ap...

Perhaps I have my facts wrong, but I read somewhere that school violence has decreased incredibly since Columbine; the publicity of it has increased incredibly. Is this true?
------------------

Hold there. Jack is younger than Kane, you say. Do you mean Kane as in Citizen Kane, or Kane as in Cain, the first murderer?
------------------

Rifle? Shotgun? Perhaps it's an assault rifle. After all, it's drawn the same way and seems to have the same properties as Pathmaker weapons in Dave's own RTD, and those seemed to alternate between the above three weapons.
A note: Not just shot and pressure exits a shotgun. At that range the meta...

Just how long has passed since the comic's plotline began? From Fnar's death to the current point, how much time has elapsed? I don't have any point of reference that I can remember, and there's no indication of how long is between arcs. Also, Hell-time could be different from our time. Any thoughts...

From what I can gather and remember, the father in that strip was Dr. Exodius, a character of Digo Raccoon, and not Drip at all. (Exodious is a raccoon and Drip's a rat-thing.) On one of Dave's sites was a comic in which Drip raped a character named Jill (the one that Jack mentions?), who then gave ...

That reminds me of an old movie, "The Devil and Max Devlin." Some average guy has to get out hell by convinving three other people to take his place.
I'm curious as to who the other sins could be, assuming they were all people before they were sins. Any historical figures in there?
