Get Milked going for over a year...

Hello, Get Milked has promised a comic every three days until the world ends. Well, we're still here so the comics keep coming. Updates have been coming on schedule since March 2007. Before that they were erratic. So if you don't see an updated comic, you'll know what happened... Link --> Get Milked...

How about: "Exercise that separates the MEN from the boys." Well, it did in my grade school.

Yes, just keep it up. All it usually takes is some luck (the right person links to you, etc.). Persistence pays off at least in satisfaction.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

Saw Wall-E. Not bad. Some of the "tear-jerker" moments were lame but Fred Willard was brilliant and the depiction of humans in the future was hilarious. Good credit crawl, too.

Re: Suggestions for personal money tracking software?

Windows used to come with a free version of MS Money. I used that for years and it worked great. But I wouldn't pay extra for it. If you don't have that program (or don't run Windows) look for share/freeware personal finance programs. I'm sure bajillions exist out there.

Re: I miss...

Looney Tunes will stick around forever. The characterizations, the artwork, the music, the timing... it took the best of animation up to that time and improved on it (they also had considerable artistic freedom relative to today's standards). Essentially, they had fun. Watching a lot of today's anim...

Re: Wanna get your stuff seen?

I'm not having any troubles with the link either. As for which forums to post on - any forum that allows a signature will work. Just put your link in your signature then post like a regular member. Choose forums that interest you. That way you get the double benefit of posting in a forum and having ...

Get Milked Comics

Hello, I posted here quite a while ago and I've since updated to what I hope is a much better site. I've also updated the artwork (again, I hope) using colors and other stuff. Anyway, here's my single panel comic that I've updated every 3 days for the past year. It's fairly random but my favorite to...

Thanks for the info, but can you define "tweedle?" :D

My exposure type is set to "photo"; 24 bit color; Tone Correction: Linear; 600 dpi.

I've attached my latest scan... does that help?

Thanks!

Scanning Grayscale drawings...

Hello. I've searched for reference to scanning grayscale drawings, but haven't come up with anything wonderful. Here's my issue: I'm using Copic warm gray markers with black Gelly Roll. The images look decent on the page, but when I scan them they lose some detail and the grays look off. This happen...

Dang! I have to be funny??!?! And have good art?!? There goes that... The glut of webcomics seems to contribute to the difficulty of making a living off of one. With thousands out there competing for clickety-clicks, how does one possibly stick out? Plus, and this also goes for more "literary"...

The biggest question I ask myself about merchandising is: do I have enough traffic to justify the hassle of keeping inventory that might not sell? So far I tell myself no, but I have no idea how to determine whether or not to go down the store path. Having piles of unsold merchandise scattered aroun...

No holiday stuff in my space. No tree, wreaths, or anything. We try to avoid the entire thing. Plus, we live across the freeway from the busiest mall in the area, which adds to our commutes and general bedlam. Sometimes I'm afraid to leave the house. Don't mess with rabid consumers.
