Re: The Official Short Comic thread of bitter tears and smiles.

This is something I've been thinking of doing anyway... so I'll bite. I think I can manage 10 pages or less.

Re: My wonderful idea for a webcomic

Oh please no, not a photo comic, particularly not a romance comic. It was bad enough when they did it in Just 17. Put simply, my objections are that photographs must be perfectly posed to come near to conveying the depth and range of emotion which can, strangely enough, be conveyed in a few pencil m...

Thanks rkolter. We've got these huge freakin' orange tablets to feed him and some pate food. The vet seems to think he'll be okay... I hope he eats something soon though. Also, I found out that I lost my job this week and now can't afford my mortgage, which was nice. But mostly I'm just depressed th...

Our cat Rocco has been off his food for a while and I noticed today his ears and eye-whites are yellow. Saw the vet and he has jaundice caused by liver damage. Toxicity is 8.5 times higher than norm.

Hopefully he pulls through.

I attribute recurring nightmares I have about pyramids to the malign influence of Chocky.

Even the book scared the bejesus out of me.

2008 should be better than 2007...

Resolutions for 2008: - Work out for 1 hour per day - Draw two comic pages per week - Get a job I enjoy - Ignore the small pettiness of certain people (this would be helped by getting another job  ) - Learn to colour properly - Rant less - Socialise more 2008 is the year I do manage to make a ...

I don't have health insurance. Fortunately in Britain, this means that I will not be denied treatment, just that I will be treated more as a piece of meat on a slab, than as a human. To return to te unhappiness: my colleague at work, the one with the bad attitude, has stressed me out to the e...

I seem to remember my 19th birthday being rubbish. I had dropped out of college, had no job, and was partway through a nervous breakdown; and my parents were in Australia. None of my so-called friends turned up. I just sat, in my tacky velour shirt and big square glasses, and played Jenga with my co...

Fineline drawing pens over pencil.

I love how Illustrator makes my lines look but it would take me for EVER to do a comic - and I'm slow enough as it is.

Not having a regular schedule leads to laziness and procrastination, and to that dreaded occurrance, the indefinite hiatus.

Schedules are the best way to get motivated to update, provided you don't burn yourself out in the process.

I'm working on one of my holidays. I have so much to do I'll probably be working late tonight. I haven't had any lunch yet and probably won't now. I had to cancel my appointment at the gym to be here. My job is constantly changing for the worse, with silly rule changes and process changes. Someone i...

It got a bit upset when I mentioned HAL to it at one point.

It then 'sang' "Daisy, Daisy" at me.

I should really go to bed.

I'm sleep deprived today so I guzzled a huge can of sugared, caffeinated yellow gloop to help me focus and the result is:

Pistol Packin' Pixie Princess.

Oh, guns. How I hate thee.

They should totally market McPorridge in Scotland, only make it sweet.... a nice slab of cold, set porridge, fried until crispy on the outside, served with your choice of syrup topping.

It's be a hit.

I find this thing strangely addictive, and the more I "speak" to it, the more... bot-like... I sound.

I'm not going to go back to converse with that thing again. It asked me for my sign, for chrissakes.
