You're all fab. Page 72 was a bit delayed this week, but it's there now.
Which brings me on to...yah, each strip is very detailed, but also takes about 10 hours a page. So, 20 - 30 hours a week...comic is more than a part time job.
8.) I spend too much time drawing comics for people other than the comics I'm supposed to be updating. I take full responsibility for the most recent example of this. :D Uhm...The Broken Mirror does update pretty darn reliably, either two or three days a week depending on what we stipulated at the ...
Thanks guys - MinekaC - I'd love to hear what you think when you've read the archivess.
Kris - damn, sorry, I missed the one pic only bit... X______x And I did all the resizes and putting it in the right format too and I still missed it... *thick mode*; I'll edit.
I'd be perfectly happy to join in a future fanart exchange - I'm not sure JJ could fit in drawing anything at the moment, but I could, and I'm not too dreadful...
KK so I've done the TT&T post...and in the interest of perhaps getting some people out to have a look at the site, (in an entirely promotional sense... ;)) here's a couple of pages - they're text free because I had to shrink them down to less than 550 px re:forum rules, and the text would've got squ...
Guyford - thanks for your comments! :) Re: the text, well, as I said, you said...and pretty much everyone else who's read it has said - it's wordy. And I do want to get that fixed sometime soon. Your comment on the speech bubbles however is a new one - I often tend to put the text at the top/bottom/...
Thanks for the review perk_daddy! :D Some response: On the art...well, high praise indeed, thanks. :D The wordiness at the beginning: aye, it's that old, old tale... ;) It's something I will fix, in time, when I feel confident I can script it well enough to convey the same points concisely. :) As fo...
Ooh goodie, I can add you both at once. I'll go do that now. :) Geekblather - just click links on the site and scroll down a bit; you'll find four 'link to us' banners. :) N sure, please do leave any more critiques you come up with. :) RadPal, nup, that's why there's a selection: you can just pick y...
The Broken Mirror is a novel I first got the idea for in 1997 and have been actively writing since 2001...so for each page I work out a script from the novel, (post page ten, realising I could and had to cut out a lot of words...cause it was all 'now with pictures!') But when writing, it was always ...
RadPal - re: adding content to your site - set up a links page, we could do an exchange... ;) ^_______^ Broken Mirror is kind of dark at the moment, yeah, and it is intentional. :) There's some much lighter stuff later on, though, as well as some comedy, (character based, I'm not really into gags......
No-one seems to be posting criticisms of my comic over at TWCL anymore, either because I'm kinda 'known' there now...or they're just bored. :P So I'm gonna play the 'aw, look, a lil newbie, let's kill it!' card here... ;) XD Look how new I am! I've only made...fifteen posts! (Drat, I was hoping to g...
Well Joel, given the distressing regularity with which new participants on web message boards are run off before they've even finished introducing themselves it would not surprise me in the least to find our introduction locked/deleted within the hour. You need to revise this attitude, and fast. We...
Obviously still relatively new to the webcomic scene, the first element of 'Mad Hat' to strike me was that the main character recalled Mike from Monsters Inc, (not that I've watched the aforementioned movie for a long time, hence the probable rust encrusted memories, but hey...he was green and had o...
I hadn't heard of either Dominic Deegan or Dominic Durgan before this thread...(yah still relatively new in the webcomics world,) I'm getting to quite like Dominic Durgan though...
