I offer many, many incentives to not only visit the forum, but to register and post. As a smallish comic, before I started offering incentives, I had all of one person (my sister) in my forum. Though I did have moderate shoutbox activity on my own. Two days ago I put up a notice beneath the comic t...

Since I started using Project Wonderful & bidding on ad space I had nearly 200 hits and over 400 pages viewed in one day. I just wish one of them would leave a comment or something....

Nudity, sexual content and heavy swearing all No-Nos for my comic. Which is probaly why it isn't popular. >.>

3. Make the character's end touching and memorable. I plan on making sure the character gets a rather touching and honorable farewell. A fan who is only there for one character, rather than for the story, is just as likely to stop reading if the character does something she doesn't like.. She did s...

I have a delimma though. One of my fews fans, her favorite character is the one that I had plannned on killing off from the start.

What do I do? Kill the guy and lose a fan or change how the story is going to go when it gets up to that point?

It is an interesting idea... although I think you might need to refine the mechanism. People reading through the archives wouldn't get the same experience as long-term readers, and two weeks between updates is rather long to wait. Good point. It'd probaly be best to have an explaination about the r...

The 'WhichWay' Webcomic!

Anyone ever read those stories that give you and option to choose the next path? i.e Go left, page 5, go right page 69. Wouldn't that option be cool for a webcomic? You put up a poll that lasts, 1-2 weeks ( depending on how fast one can draw ) giving the readers an option about which path the story ...
