I like the fact that it isn't the typical skin/pin-up babe that's in the lead at this point, that Tile is running away with it so far. :)

Lynn from Cake

It was so hard to decide, but the tail thing/"special ability" was too hilarious not to vote for.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their opinions and the great off-topic conversation that had me rolling. :) There are somethings that some of you brought up that are really interesting and I'll definitely be investigating further into it.

Why Shonen-ai (Boys Love) and Yaoi (hardcore boy's love)???

I'm trying to put together info for a piece on Yaoi and Shonen-ai (Boy's Love) for my blog. I really want your opinion to why women have taken such a liking to this sub-genre of manga. If you have any opinions on the topic at all please share them...even if they sound silly or are just speculatory. ...

thank you, thank you! I will work hard on the newest comments (and the old ones) for the next page. I really appreciate many of you helping me improve. I'm trying my hardest...and it'll probably take lots of practice (so don't shoot me if I don't have it 100% changed by the next page). But I will de...

oh my god...you are right...this is why I usually never post a page without sending it to my beta. And my font isn't bold...well, its not set to bold...its just the way it is. I know of the free sites, but have never had good luck with them. I'll have to spend some time searching for one when I get ...

thank you again to all of you that commented on the art. I really appreciate it so much. I tried hard to encorporate the stuff that you all told me. I am saving up for an actual professional comic font. I think that will help. I worked mostly on the coloring. Here is my latest page...I hope that it ...

A badge is what you pay for to get into the convention. You either have a general badge or an artists badge (I'm sure there are other kinds, like sponsors). One badge gets one person admittance to a convention. Sometimes you have to purchase a badge and a table. Sometimes the badge is included in th...

:o Wow!!! Thank you so much for the highly detailed critique FLittle. I'm very new to the realm of color. I can handle screentones well, but I have to admit that I'm just getting used to shading. I will definitely try to encorporate the shading techniques that you suggested...I'm sure that it is jus...

Go ahead...rip my art apart...

I want to thank everyone in advance that takes a look at this to critique. I'm trying to solidify my own style, and have been having problems especially with coloring. I have gone from a more washed out look to this one which is a bit bolder. I think the colors are a bit rough...but I'm not sure qui...

What is your scariest convention experience?

My scariest convention experience happened at Anime Iowa last weekend. I had a table in the artist's alley and they opened it up to the sponsors for the first half an hour. There was a 50+ year old man that was dressed up as a unicorn (he had a horn taped to his forhead and wore a pretty sparkly pal...

For Anime Cons and most comic conventions you can usually get a 6-8' table for $40-$60. Sometimes that includes your badge, sometimes it doesn't. It just depends on the convention. The smaller the convention, the less expected foot traffic, the less it usually costs. ACEN (about 12,000 people) was $...

MY FABULOUS CONVENTION ADVICE: It is always good to have some smaller, less inexpensive things to draw people over to your table (not everyone has $5 to spend, let alone $20-30) You should have a book of art that you have done in the past, if you are planning on taking drawing commissions. Have some...

I think that 90% of all writer/artist pairings will fail. It is my belief that it doesn't matter who is searching for who, but rather whether or not you and the other person are compatible. Finding a good partner in writing or art is like dating...its gonna take awhile to find a good match. I also t...

I guess the first step would be to go to conventions. I'm gonna have to give that a shot. yes, the convention scene is fun, you should. Just know that your first artist alley experience will have about a 85% chance of sucking...I think its a con's initiation rite or something. Something WILL go HOR...

My first attempt at comics were in middle school. I asked the teacher if I could work on scripting for play or comics for my writing portfolio, and he told me yes. I wrote this comic (which I am sure was completely a rip off of Pinky and the Brain from Animaniacs) about a batch of pumpkins that got ...

I promote at the conventions. My comic isn't the main artist thing I do (I make plushies), so its kinda nice when a plush pulls them over to the table and I say "Hey, by the way..." and shove a flyer their way. I think I've gotten a few readers to past comics like that.

New Webcomic List-have you posted your comic yet?

I don't know if this is the place to put it (or if its allowed), but comic promotional tools are always nice. I really like this new list...you can submit ANYONE'S comic, including your own and it gets rated and favorited and gets you more traffic. I like it and right now there are only 200 comics o...
