Reason they are releasing it on the 360 is because Lost Odyssey did well on the 360. And, of course, SE sees $$$ and follows suit. Also, since Lost Odyssey was by an ex-FF dude, they have to save face and release FF13 on the 360 as well.

At any rate, FF8 > FF7.
