Google Sketchup

I guess this has been around for years, but I only heard of it yesterday: http://www.sketchup.com/ Looks like it could be useful to some artists for constructing backgrounds, architecture etc. You might have to sketch over the final image to make it fit your own drawing style, but it would take all ...

Thank you both for such considered replies. You certainly get no arguments from me against the usefulness of religious beliefs, whether I ascribe to them or not.

Thank you also for the lesson in manners. In future I'll try to express myself in a way that's less inflammatory.

Don't be disingenious. Jesus did not pass out cups of his own blood at the last supper. Why not throw in canibalism with the communion wafers while you are at it? Some people take the symbolism of communion very seriously but they don't serve blood and meat, and you jumped all over CW over things s...

No, I didn't. The Roman Catholic church maintains that communion wine becomes the actual blood of Christ. As for martyrdom - probably the most fundamental tenet of Christian faith is that Jesus sacrificed himself in order to atone for the sins of mankind. These are not the beliefs of some lunatic fr...

If you're behind the 'do unto others' bit, then please avoid bashing other people's beliefs without provocation, especially considering that CW is more than polite for her part. Firstly, there was no bashing of anyone's religion. I asked for an explanation of how the the word "rational" relates to ...

I do not understand why it is so FREAKING HARD for a Christain to write something for NON CHRISTIANS about Christianity that would be able to present the whole thing rationally CW Really? You think it can be presented rationally, really? Remind me which part of Christianity is rational. Not that I ...

One time me and my friends decided to hire a prostitute to pose for us, since nude models were too expensive. Heh. I tried that too. She looked at me as though it was the most perverse request she'd ever heard, and flat out refused. She said she could do me a titty fuck for forty euros, but stand s...

You get to look at real live nekkid people and improve your drawing at the same time. Why would anyone not want to go to classes? I used to go to an art academy in Madrid nearly every day. Not classes exactly, just open studios with three or four models posing daily. Some of the other artists were a...

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they go by.

[/douglasadams]

Truly, I hate everything about making a comic. Every bit of the process is tedious and annoying and I'd much prefer to never have got involved in the first place. It's a bit like life in that respect.

And apologies for the stuttering update schedule. We need to work on ways to get a chapter out every week because lately, we suck.

I'm keeping the comics off the main page because I update the site every week by hand, and the comics pages require so many button/link changes it would overload my lazy tech-fearing brain. But we probably ought to at least change the picture on the main page every now and again. That would be a goo...

War Babies

I think there's enough stuff on our site now to make it worth the visit, so here's the pitch for War Babies . This isn't going to be appeal to many of you. There are no references to computer games, pop culture, college roommates, furries, ninja, coffee or elves. There are few gags, and so far not m...

Who'da thought that the subject of comics tackling controversial issues would itself be controversial? I've never seen so many "shoulds" in a topic. We should all just keep those sorts of things the heck out of our comics to start with and we will be happier for it Thanks for that gem. But please do...

I tried to draw a Judge Dredd strip when I was about 17. From what I remember it was just the scene from Dirty Harry when he does the "Did he fire six shots or only five?" speech. At the time I probably believed there was a chance it would be published, deluded teenage fool that I was.

Very nice artwork and web design. I guess it won't be long before you get to sell that strip to the newspapers.

One self-serving question: How do you get your livejournal to show up on your main page like that? I wants to copy.
