Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?
Hi, I suppose I hadn't announced it on here yet, so my NEW new site for "The Inexplicable Adventures of Bob!" is at http://bobadventures.thecomicseries.com on ComicFury. So far, I have been very pleased with ComicFury as a hosting service, and I would happily recommend it to any of my fellow ComicGe...

Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?
Thanks, VeryCuddlyCornpone! Yeah, I'm trying to do likewise. When CG died, I took it as an opportunity and hired a web designer friend to *finally* redesign my comic's web design to look nice and slick as I'd always wanted it. Within two months, SmackJeeves obliterated all that effort. I was... disp...

Re: CG updating not working
I intend to. As I said, I've got a three day weekend coming up, so that will be the best time to set up a new home on SmackJeeves and then post a big friendly link to it on ComicGenesis. Do you suppose contacting Norton would help? Thank you, Cope. This is all just so sad. And sudden, if not unexpec...

Re: CG updating not working
Hi. Well, if I need to migrate my comic to another site, so be it, but is the false alert from Norton problem ever going to be fixed? I don't like the idea of my old archive remaining up but being permanently tainted with this ridiculous thing.

Re: Real World Success!
I wrote a novel a few years ago. The online reviews are good. By all means, check it out. https://www.amazon.com/Alien-Small-Town-Jim-Cleaveland/dp/0692712224/ref=tmm_pap_title_1?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1558518937&sr=8-1 It is The 24th century, and the Mennonites of rural Pennsylvania live much as they a...

Re: If It Weren't for Keenspace ...
My comic is one of the two most important creative works I've ever produced, the other being my novel. I've loved producing it these past 13 years. Having a regular artistic outlet during rough times has been invaluable to me. And yet, when I think how much of myself I've poured into this comic over...

Re: How do you write?
I generally start a story arc with some vague idea of where it's going, but I rarely do any seriously detailed plotting ahead. The one time I did was in my longest storyline, "The Island and the Idol," for which I had piles of notes. I'm happy with the way it came out and I know I couldn't have done...

Re: Gone Too Soon...
The Mulberry Gallows Project at http://www.mulberrygallows.com/ Generally speaking, I thought it was brilliant. Weirdly, it died twice. Years ago, it went down, then returned in a slightly rebooted form with all the original strips gone. I liked the reboot, but I wish I could see that original run o...

Re: Norton gave me an alert for ComicGenesis
Wow, it's finally come to this. I've been here since 2006, you know that? Updating twice a week for... well, most of that time, I finally hit my 1,000 strip mark a couple of months ago. This month is my... ha, 13th anniversary. CG served me well for a long time. I've got everything backed up, of cou...

Re: Norton gave me an alert for ComicGenesis
Thank you. I'm surprised if I'm the only one contacting you about this, if the problem is across the whole site as it appears to be from my end. Please keep me informed.

Hi. It's been a few days, and Norton is still giving the warning for the site.

Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?
Well, for this story arc I'm starting with a brief interlude set in medieval Timbuktu in west Africa, which has required a bit of research. Together with dayjob stuff (a new position that involves a fair bit of overtime), that has slowed me down, which is annoying and so I don't think I'll be doing ...

Re: Norton gave me an alert for ComicGenesis
I'm glad to hear it's a false alarm, but the fact remains that simply navigating to my comic causes these big scary alerts from Norton and Firefox to pop up. I have to assume it's the same for many readers trying to visit my comic or any of the others on ComicGenesis (I checked "Mansion of E" and go...

Norton gave me an alert for ComicGenesis
Hi, I went to update my comic today, and I suddenly got complaints from both Norton and Firefox that the site was not secure. I bypassed the warnings and updated the comic, but what's going on? Has the site been infected with something?

Re: How can I make my text captions phone-friendly?
Ah, thank you! I appreciate it. I'm also pleased to hear that it has been appearing properly on at least some devices, but at least now I can fix it for the others. Of course, that will mean going back through the archives and re-uploading all those text captions, which I will have to figure out whe...

How can I make my text captions phone-friendly? [Solved]
The text captions I occasionally add under my comic updates look fine on a desktop computer monitor, but show up much too big on a smart phone screen. How can I fix that? My coding skills are mediocre at best, so please don't be shy about spelling out the exact method of doing this. Thank you. Pleas...
