I like the first set of eyes the best as well. As stated above, the sketchy outlines of faces seem to be done in the manga style, thus the non-manga eyes look rather odd (and zombified, like AVEM mentioned.) I think you can get away with the second set of eyes if you're drawing in more of a shounen ...

Your lines look they're done by CGI? If that's the case, are you using a mouse or a pen tool? If you're inking your lines in a program like Photoshop, I suggest staying away from the brush and using the polygonal tool. At least when you're starting out.
