Re: CSS - Where does it go?

Sorry about that - that's covered in the FTP tutorial. To save the CSS file, you have to right click the "CSS" text next to where it says "Download:" and hit "Save as..." The CSS files go in the "workspace/webpages" folder. Your site might have to update before you see it - you can either do that ma...

Just a wild guess, but it's probably the <center> at the top.

Re: RSS feed with images

If you want to customize your RSS, the easiest way is rsspect.com

Just upload the RSS stuff you want in a text file along with the comic. It's really easy. Then just put the appropriate tag in the <head> and you're all set.

Re: HTML help, please: Setting a background image? [solved]

Seriously, you almost already know CSS. style="background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat" That IS CSS. The only difference is that instead of saying you wanted to do it to the body tag like so: body { background-image: url('/images/filename.jpg'); background-position: center; backgro...

Re: Mario Kart Wii

Main thing about this version than from the classic ground version is that it is unblockcable Technically, you can dodge it. If you have a mushroom, you can boost just after it turns vertical and outrun it. My beef is that the game seems aimed at casual people, but is ruthlessly hard. I mean, look ...

Re: CSS not changing my colors!

Are you right clicking and choosing "save as" on the css link, then uploading screen.css to workspace/webpages? It sounds like you're copying the CSS into notepad and then saving it as an HTML file, which won't work at all.

Re: Questions about Lulu

Well, i've got the book up now, so i suppose all that's left to do is hope for a sale - maybe the sudden mass of stumbleupon people will amount to one (figures such a thing would happen during my hiatus).

Thanks for your help guys.

Re: To the admins: adjusting poster info box width in topics

I'd mentioned this before... .post { padding: 0 10px; margin-bottom: 4px; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 100% 0; position: relative; } .postbody { padding: 0; line-height: 1.48em; color: #333333; width: auto; margin-left: 251px; } .postprofile { /* Also see tweaks.css */ margin: ...

Re: CSS not changing my colors!

Oops! I had the download link for minimal black pointing to the minimal white file. http://cwcomics.comicgenesis.com/generator/css/minimalblack/screen.css That should give you the right file. As for why you can't change colors... it might be that an update hasn't been run through siteadmin yet. If y...

Can't stay logged in to forms.

I can't stay logged into the forums. I've tried Firefox and IE7 - both seem to log me out for no reason after about two minutes. If i check "stay logged in" it seems to stay logged in longer, but it still logs me out after a fairly short amount of time.

Questions about Lulu

Since i've finished my comic, i've been putting together a book to be printed and had some questions about Lulu (or any other place you can suggest). Sorry if this is repetitive - i searched around and couldn't really find answers to all my questions. I was wondering what the quality was like on the...

Re: New Theme is to bright I'm Blind

Since both are floating, you have to specifiy a width, otherwise they will float on top of each other. So when your window is set to less than the width defined, the rendering model moves whichever appears later in the code beneath. In this case, it's set to 25/75 , 25% for the profile, 75% for the...

It looks like you used "save as html" in textedit or whatever - try going through it again.

The NEW new version (beta 4 - which has quite a few changes) has instructions for Mac at the end.

Windows XP, or Vista?
Can you go to help > about, in Internet Explorer and find the version number?

Also, try refreshing the generator page a couple of times - make sure it says beta 3.7 in the title bar on the page with all the forms.

Textedit works differently. To save HTML from TextEdit, you have to do this: 1) Once you have the HTML in TextEdit, go to Format > Make Plain Text. 2) When you save the file, be sure to type .html at the end of the filename. 3) TextEdit will ask you if you're sure that you want to use .html instead ...

When i came out of the theare, my immediate thought was that Godzilla is to Hiroshima / Nagasaki as Cloverfield is to 9/11.

The only other thing is that i can respect a movie that makes people question if they should leave once the credits roll... it was almost as suspensful as the actual movie.
