Re: Digital Drawing Technology

Kinda late to this thread, but I cannot reccommend the Surface Pro 2 strongly enough. It's wacom tech running on windows 8.1, with full pressure sensitivity. A simple driver update will have you full compatability with pretty much anything. I'm doing all my drawing on it using photoshop cc these day...

Re: Art issues: What have you struggled with and why?

I sit and look at the blank page for hours, scrawling lines and then rubbing them out. I can draw, but without somebody giving me orders I ain't worth poop. Also I tend to focus on the figures and realise there's no background, only adding one as an afterthought so the composition is off. Man, I've ...

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.

The lass who plays Gwen weirds me out, and I don't know why. Anyhow, more doodlin's, bit o' design this time. I'm thinking I'm going to give my new electric bicycle an identity, so I'm giving it an aperture science style make-over. Still not sure what to name it though. The Aperture Science Dual-Pro...

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.

Now y'see, I liked the new film in a lot of ways. Andrew Garfield is much better casting in my opinion. It also seemed way better directed, but then I always hated Raimi. It's just far too soon to rehash a film everyone has already seen, and not even that long ago. And it was a complete re-hash. The...

Aaaaand POW. I just ran with the previous drawing, and ended up with my first ever completely digital creation. No pencil, pen or paper in any stage of the process.

Man, I am on FIRE since getting that Bamboo. I've spent so much time drawing that I actually have hand-cramp.

Heck, I'm even considering doing requests, once my current workload is finished.

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.

Blech, double-post. Still, I've been trying out the new bamboo wacom thing my missus got me, and come to the conclusion that the quality is good enough for me to abandon pen and paper forever. Hot damn, I never knew these things were so good. It's got me looking at macbooks as well >.> http://www.ge...

Re: How are you doing, comic-wise?

Gonna get me some o' that action, there's a wacom all nicely wrapped up waiting to be opened that I know my missus got me as a birthday pressie. I've been using a cheap trust branded budget 6x4 jobbie for the last few years, and am greatly looking forward to the upgrade.

Re: Best Tv Shows

A subscription on Netflix has got me rewatching a bunch o' stuff. The IT crowd in particular. I'd forgotten how good it was. Some episodes are right up there with Spaced and Black Books. Is Game of Thrones really worth watching? I got most way throught the first book, and then watched the first two ...

Re: Alter Egos 13: Pay attention to me, damn it

I do maths visually. I end up thinking of every maths based question as some sort of visual representatation like a bar or pie chart, regardless of whether that is what I'm supposed to be doing, and without any actual numbers based calculations going on, I often end up with the right numbers. Fracti...

we got to drink less whiskey, but who wants to do that?
The bushy moustached foreman of a naked flame factory. Its a place.

I dunno, without a writer giving me direction, I just end up drawing videogame characters, and that's not what webcomicking on the internet is about! Oh, wait.
