Re: Active fans??
I rarely get any comments, even from people I know. Something that did work, however, was to say hi to a specific country or region I was surprised to see people visiting from (in my case, Norway). You might try it, see what happens. Norway? I'm from Norway! *checks out Inshue's comic* See? Mention...

Re: Something interestingly new in ways of presenting webcomics
It's... an interesting idea. It's definitely a step towards preserving the art aspect of a comic, while still allowing for a wordy story. And the way it's done is decently well-executed. But when compared to other comics, it loses something. Part of the strength of word balloons is that they allow f...

Re: Oooh character evolution!
Aw man, this one oughta be fun. All right, so what we have here is the one character I've had the longest, name of Pyro. He started as a superhero comic after I watched some Superman: the Animated Series way back in '98, '99-ish, when I was just a little fourth grader. He's been around a while. http...

Re: ROAD web comic
An awesome concept. If I didn't hate the Zuda reader so much, I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more. And it does feel like the story jumps a bit, but as it goes on, the flow smooths out. All in all, I liked it quite a bit, and am anxious for more. The artwork is fantastic, by the way. Great la...

Re: Where did it come from?
Hmm. Well, it came from screwing around on Wikipedia one day, until I came across the Hellboy page. It had some random mention about steampunk, which I had never heard of before. Curiosity took control, and I took a peek. The concept of steam-powered robots got in my head, and just wouldn't leave. O...

Re: Keeping Interest
I've had this problem since I first started drawing comics. I have done no less than six versions of a single comic, and still have yet to finish it. My current comic, Empires of Steam, has been restarted twice so far. I do constantly decide that I don't like my past work, and want to make it better...

Re: Retcons. Have you done one?
If by "retcon" you mean "completely restarted my comics more times than I can count," then, yes. It's something I'm trying to avoid right now, though. Although, I moved my comic to a different URL recently, and I must admit I've redone several pages so far, and plan to do a few others. But once I ge...

Haven't updated in 2009 yet. Tomorrow's my first one. Luckily, I thought ahead and had a bit of a buffer, so I knew they were 2009. Got a separate folder for 'em and everything.

Re: Talk to me about your influences.
I've had a lot of influences over the years. I started with the good old Batman and Spider-Man cartoons in the '90s, back when I was just a kid. I tried everything I could to get the great feel of action and excitement that they somehow put in every frame, but it never turned out quite right... I su...

I'm not; the issue isn't with the update queue. It's that Comic Genesis won't let me upload the image files.

Comics not uploading
Well, I seem to have run into a bit of a problem. The Comic Genesis Siteadmin site seems to be refusing to allow my comics to upload. I select the comic, click "Upload," and then, where there is typically a message saying that the upload is successful, I find nothing. I have been unable to update fo...

Empty Space
I have wanted to do this for so long. EMPTY SPACE is a tale of young Thomas Jeffries, an inventor and professor living in a steampunk world, Clara Rose-Thatcher, her strange and mysterious brother, Bill, and the many mysteries and adventures they face. The comic is set in 1860, in an America where A...

Re: Am I the only one who wanted to shoot themselves?
You'll get used to it, and you'll get a lot better over time. I was lucky; I'd learned HTML a couple years beforehand, and although I was rusty when I started my comic, there was at least a base for me to work off of. I still haven't been able to submit a drawing of Genchan for some strange reason, ...

Re: Why are we doing this?
I just happen to like drawing. And writing. Mix the two, and bam! I'm happy. So I figure, if I'm going to be drawing comics anyway, which I am, why not post 'em on the web? Plus, giving myself an update schedule and sticking to it actually helps me get more done on my own. I have ore drive to do thi...
