sometimes i think it's just the fact that they disliked it enough to actually tear you down like that. for instance, i rarely will say negative things unless i REALLY dislike something. if it's so-so, i won't even bother. (i'm not really talking about plain constructive criticism here)

i have a tagboard and people leave me comments semi frequently just saying they like it or such and such made them laugh or whatever. if they ask questions i always respond. i also have a little comment box in which i write something everytime i update. either a comment about the comic or about soon...
