Site Refuses to Update

Hey. I've had the strips for this week loaded into my workspace comics folder since early November, and up until yesterday (Friday, January 13) everything was working fine. This morning, however, I notice the site did not update today (Saturday, January 14) I checked my site, and the strip for today...

Me too, but I've been on fire lately, and I'm updated all the way through December first.

I'm sure THAT won't last.

I usually like it, and sometimes it makes me laugh out loud. But, I don't like that, on occasion, McGruder will forgo a joke just to make a statement... I don't think he's a bad writer or unintelligent, but I do think there are ways to make a point, and entertain your audience. If you can do both, t...

My newspaper actually does have a section for "new" comics, and a section for classic comics, which is a bit smaller. Still not much to sneeze at in terms of quality in comics, but appreciated that they put the effort forward. out of curiosity, which newspaper is this? I'd like to get a subscription!

Caption Contest!

In an effort to make the Chalkdust site more interactive, I've added links, games, and a Caption Contest! Go ahead, and show me how to write a punchline! Caption Contest Each month, I'll choose a winner, and their punchline will become part of Chalkdust canon! Then, a new comic will go up, and we'll...

Let's get Harrisburg! *climbs in car and looks for route 220* We can stage at my apartment, and launch the attack of the Patriot-News from here.. They'll never see it coming... A full on assault by webcomic artists. We'll give them a new front page, that's for sure. Speaking of webcomics and the pr...

well, now that was informative (and not at all in the way I imagined!)

Thanks for the link, Cope.

I suppose I'll have to volunteer for the draft in the next war to truly appreciate all sides of this debate.

Return of the Living Comic Strip

A startling development in my local newspaper... The Patriot-News (of Harrisburg, PA) has recently started re-running "Calvin and Hobbes." Now, don't get me wrong, I loves me a little dose of Calvin each day as much as the next 'toonist,... But it seems as if the print industry has now thrown up it'...

God knows, I don't want to start another front in the CG vs. DD war... I'm just here to ask a question... I was looking around Drunk Duck, and I was wondering what the difference b/t that and CG were... The con was, everyone's site looks the same (though i found one or two that were different) Looki...

Hey, I'd like to submit Chalkdust for the Kleenspace dropdown.

It's mostly because the Tide-inspired logo makes me laugh. It's like one of those t-shirts.

Dang, we got a lot of the same taste there. And if nothing else, you gotta respect Bagley for his consistency and work-ethic. He's one of the few artists you can count on to get his stuff done on time, and get it done well. Shame how that's not a typical thing these days with those comics. You know...

The art of Mark Bagley (a lot of Spider-Man stuff, most recently USM).. .not because I draw like him, but just because I love his work so much, it makes me want to draw. Also, the TV shows Scrubs and early West Wing, in that it reminds me that writing is not a passive exercise, but the backbone on w...
