I agree with Chibi... I like the picture better without the speech bubbles... I think that basically the speech bubbles say much the same thing as the nerration so that you only need one or the other, and I think the narration says it better.

1024x768 (which I know only because I recently checked when I was making myself a wallpaper out of a recent comic)...

It has occured to you that you're not exactly asking a representative subsection of internet users right?

I vaguely remember someone trying to explain how much a pint of blood would cover (in an explanation of an unsolved crime) and they used the analogy of dropping a pint of milk... the point being made was that a pint of blood will look like a lot, lot more when it's all spread out. I'm not sure if th...

As it stands I think the first one is more effective, but I think the second one has more potential. At the moment the second one looks kind of flat, particularly in comparison, when I was trying to work out why it occured to me that not only had you used less colour you'd also used fewer shades. Fo...

One thing you seem to do consistently is draw the eyes too high... which is especially clear in the top picture... all the anatomy books I've looked at say that eyes are generally about half way up the head, or even lower in children... in that top picture the eyes are about a third of the way from ...

(Really, beautiful work.)
I have to disagree I'm afraid I find serious men far more sexy than funny ones, or indeed drunk ones.

edit: I agree about the pretty part though...

The pre-raphaelites particularly Rossetti not so fond of Burne-Jones, but it's those vacant faces that my inability to draw expressions tends to remind me of.

Actually most forests are not impenetrable walls of green once you're inside them because only so much light gets through the canopy (ceiling made of tree branches) to feed plants further down, and trees can only grow so close together... you really only get that wall of green effect at the edges of...

field of corpses

For the comic I'm trying to draw at the moment I kind of need to draw lots and lots of corpses... ...the scene is basically a flashback (but a deliberately mythologised one) to a battle where thousands of people went off to war and about a dozen came home again... i'm drawing the battlefield just af...

I don't really see any reason why you shound't be able to get away with the simple colouring... it looks fine... sure, full shading would probably be prettier but the example you've shown looks alright to me...

I am far more interested in the radical science involved in the Global Warming/Pirate connection. I'm convinced. A concensus of scientists agrees with me. It's not that radical... pirates in the traditional sense died out with industrialisation, industrialisation caused lots of polutants that led t...
