Political cartoons?

Has Keenspace (sorry, Comic Genesis ) or Keenspot ever considered creating a division for political cartoons? That is, single-panel editorial-type cartoons? I know I'd be interested in something like that, and I'm sure other artists would as well. Anyone think this is a good idea? Or can someone pro...

Apparently the fellows at CompuServe who invented the format say it should be pronounced "Jif"; it says so right in the original specifications from 1987 (apparently the peanut butter pun was too difficult to resist). But common usage seems to dictate that it's pronounced with a hard G, logically fo...

Follow-Up

A few months back (as I announced in this thread ) I tried out to be the editorial cartoonist for The State News at Michigan State University. And... ...I made it! What's more, they said I blew the competition away. I'm ecstatic. Thanks for the kind words a few months ago. I'll be starting in mid-Ma...

Excluding the excercise I would get incidentally (playing sports and games as a kid), I have never voluntarily excercised once in my entire life. Not once.

Lachrymators, or tear gasses, are designed to irritate a person's eyes so badly that they well up uncontrollably. Now imagine inhaling that strong of an irritant. --Sij Oh. Errk. Now, I just wonder how it works as a crowd-control device...Maybe i'll look around in Wiki. ^_^ If you ever get teargass...

I always wondered how tear gas feels like. What, tear-inducing? Like...uh, onion grenades or something? It's basically like the feeling you get on your tongue when eating spicy foods, except in your eyes and face. And as for breaking bones: your bones have almost no nerves in them, so the actual fr...

I was not maced, but many people were.

Another fun fact: mace is designed to be sprayed on the chest. Most cops spray it in your eyes. Tear gas canisters are meant to be fired onto the ground. Most cops fire them at people.

I got teargassed!

I was collateral damage at the 2005 Michigan State University basketball riots. The cops laid down a huge cloud of the stuff, the whole campus reeks.

Apparently part of the ritual of confirming the Pope's death involves whacking him on the forehead three times with a silver hammer while shouting his given (i.e. non-Papal) name.

I don't know why, but I agree that the bleeped version is much funnier. Perhaps it has something to do with the bleeps leaving what he says to the imagination (although it's not like we don't know what he's saying, especially since the bleeps often don't totally cover the word,) or maybe that it acc...

Standard soap is too harsh to use on the naughty parts, especially for women. It dries out the skin horribly.
