Updated this week, was surprised to find all of the slices on my site pushed around and generally being broken. It was a routine update, nothing changed in any html pages. It's not the password, it's the fact that it's unable to make a connection to the FTP server.

Words aren't important. Intent is. Yes and no. I don't anyone is actually trying to call anyone racist here. But in real society, it's foolish just to walk around saying words widely known as derogatory, then putting a pinky up to your mouth and slyly declaring that you weren't using it in the norm...

I have heard it used in racially derogatory context, too, but not all the time . . . in fact, not even most of the times I've heard it used. It is generally not a term to be used because of its derogatory orgins. As Merc says, it's something to say if you want your ass kicked.

If it's an ongoing story, you pretty much *have* to.. I know I didn't for a while, but then readers would catch me out with minor things I'd forgotten and I'd feel like an idiot.
