Filesize Question??

Hello all, I just logged in and checked out the info page where you can set the comic rating and style types, etc. and I noticed that it says that my first comic is 136 in size. Does this mean KB? Because when I check its size on my computer, it says it's only 63 KB or so. Just checking...I don't wa...

HELP! Can't sign in!!

Hello all, I finally changed my password to my new account as the original one was 'broken', and I just activated my new password. I even made sure that keenspace.com and siteadmin.keenspace.com was added on my Norton program so that it wouldn't be blocked by my firewall. BUT I keep getting the logi...

Yeah, I do all of my text like copyright and most lettering, etc. on Photoshop or Flash.

I had just heard about the stickers and wondered if anyone else knew about them. :D

Thanks!

Copyright Stickers??? Huh?

Has anyone heard of professional newspaper comic artists using Copyright stickers for their comic? The artist for 'Buckle' mentioned this in his walkthrough on how he does his strips. Is this something the artist makes, or do the Syndication companies send them to you once the strip is officially co...

Halftone Effects??

Hi there... I noticed that Photoshop has a color halftone filter, but it's quite tricky to get the input right in order to make the filter look decent. Anyhow, I was wondering how to do a gryscale halftone, and a color halftone. I want to give my comics the 'newspaper' feel. Any ideas? Thanks in adv...

How to add Javascript??

Hi there... I've worked with Javascript plenty in the past, and I have a 'falling snow' script that I would like to put on my main page...possibly on all pages. We'll see. Anyhow it's smooth-running, so it shouldn't cause any problems with load speeds, etc. First off, if there's an image file for th...

HELP!!!

Hey there... I got my activation email last night and activated my signup, so now I'm waiting for my password. I realize it could take 7 days or more, as the email said that quite plainly. However, I just checked the status of my username (it prompted me to do so on the 'check status' page, as I alr...

Thanks...I've been using PNG's now instead of JPEG's. Even though you would think that the JPEG's would be fine because my coloring and lines are so simple, but PNG's make it so much more CLEAR. Which is nice. ;) AND they have a small file size! Which is even NICER...

How do I trace the lines and then fill them? I've seen this technique used quite a bit...I've also tried making my line art into bitmaps and making them into vectors through Flash...which works well for smoothing out lines. But I would LOVE to try out tracing the lines to get the look I'm going for....

Yeah, hehe, I thought of the problems of the 'yellow snow' thing. ;) You know, one of my favorite strips was Calvin and Hobbes, and I remembered that there weren't usually horizon lines in the cells when there was snow...just blueish shadows. I tried that by eliminating my horizon lines, and it alre...

Thanks! That's actually a REALLY good idea...I think I'll try that. If I try to incorporate times of day, then I might go ahead and use colors other than just blue. ;) By the way...your avatar...the coloring on it really gave me an idea. I think I might use blue shading for my characters...that migh...

Problem with Coloring Comic

Hello again everyone... Alright. I've been toying around with Flash and stuff, and I LOVE how the 'inked' lines look for my comic. My biggest problem is selecting colors. I'm not talking about color for the characters or the background (which will almost always be shades of blue). My strip is about ...

Lines in Macromedia Flash?

I've seen some mention of people using Flash to ink their comics...how does this work? Does anyone have any tutorials on this? And for those of you who actually ink with Flash, do you have any of your own suggestions? Do you COLOR in Flash, too, or do you use other programs? Thanks...sorry for all t...

It can be tricky to figure out a sound and how it would be spelled... SO THIS IS WHAT I DO!! :D Whatever sound I am thinking of writing out, I re-enact that sound out loud. If someone is falling, I make the cry of a falling person. If something hits something else, I try to immitate the sound, and s...
