I consider myself a decent singer, if you're looking for a guy in the Baritone range (centered right at middle C). I can also do a good rendition of 'Oh, Mist Behind' from Return of the King, just so you know (and a few other songs as well).

The ones who can make it three months are going to be able to make the jump to the next step, though. If you can survive the immediate aftermath and not get noticed by the starving hordes before they go bye-bye, you're in position to get something running in time to keep the food coming. You've got...

I'm with the others: while it's good to know the basics and be prepared for most situations (water purifier, non-perishable foods, iodine tablets, and fully stocked first aid kit), in today's society, you simply don't need to go to the level of preparedness that you're implying, RH. Chances are that...

*bump*
Just hit my 1 month anniversary, so feel free to look over my archives and give me a critique of what I've done so far. Myself, I'm liking the way the story is coming along, and I'm definitley improving (though mainly where I was already strong...).

Take your time introducing the characters... And end up with a cast three times the size you intended! Seriously, introducing all of your characters at once, or even within the same week (app., depending on your update schedule). Introduce them one at a time - even if all of the characters are in th...

I'm not familiar with the GURPS magic system yet (but I did just get the books, so I'll be learning about it now!), but there is one magic system that holds a special place in my heart: Sovereign Stone's. Basically, you channel the natural energies of the world (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, or Void) to ...

I have a series of quests which the characters will undertake, but here's what I've got so far:
Chapter 1: Find a way to return home (main character).

That looks good, Rosenborg - though I now dread what you'll do to my comics (especially pre-font change!). Still, if we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at?

I'll just add my two cents here: you don't need a face to get facial expressions across. Since this is an artistic medium, feel free to treat the upper 'brim' as the characters' eyebrows. I've seen this done, and done well, and I think that it would add quite a bit to your comic (and help you keep f...

How thick is the paper you usually use (outside of the tracing paper, of course)? If it's light enough (IE, standard printer paper, some card stock), and you just want to 'proof' it, then you have a lightbox already made - your computer screen. Just put up a white background, and put your paper up t...

Magius : That's a really neat texture that you created. What kind of brush did you use to get that effect? Well, here's a step by step of my process - a process I like because it is a very forgiving technique: 1: Copy the base BW image, and process it until you get a good 2 color depth image (just ...

Some very basics: To start with, if you're applying this to your entire page, you'll be working inside the < body > tag. All code shown here has added spaces around the < > so you can see the code. Background: You have a variety of choices for making a background. You can use a repeating image or a ...

Eh, couldn't think of a good analogy for it (it's not unheard of for it to change between panels - not good when I've got a full page, 5-6 panel update each and every day), so maybe... I'll just hop in here and agree with what most people are saying: Even though I only have 2 camera angles that I'm good at (full-on face and profile face), I am trying my darndest to get as many angles as I can - when I can pull them off, of course. That's the fun of trying to pull off a fantasy epi...

Heck, yeah! Feel free to mess around with what I've got up so far. I'd feel better if you attacked what I was good at (my drawing skills are definitely sub-par, so feel free to crack gags at my dialogue/etc, or draw strange references from my currently ever-changing style).

Most (probably 80%) of my comics are actually drawn at work, since that's where I have the fewest distractions (sad, but true). Out of the 36 I've drawn so far, probably 30 have been done at work, with the occasional tweak at home.

... And this isn't one of them. We know that there's at least one lab down there that nobody knew about. Who knows what else is down there? People will either call to have the area explored (good) or start exploring it themselves (not so good).

Plug for Delusions of Mediocrity

Hey all. Been pluggin' away at my (admitedly badly-drawn) webcomic for a couple weeks now, and I figger I might as well plug it here. Title is Delusions of Mediocrity, and it follows Crann Berry Fox as he is sucked into a strange new world, and fights to fulfill his destiny. The story'll be split in...
