drawing vs. writing, huh? I think they're both hard. I think the problem with trying to gauge which one is more of a challenge comes from the generally amateur nature of webcomics. In that sense, I do beleive that the art takes more time. It's a talent. But then so is the writing. There are some rea...

well, for anyone that actually reads my comic. it's been evolving for a while. the biggest change was when i went to color. and now, if i ever finish editing my script, i'll start updating with an entirely new direction. I think it's cool to change things around and mix it up. Most of us aren't gett...

I was under the impression that only Gabe worked on the actual strip. He even does strips where he makes fun of Tycho's attempts at doing so. Again, I could be wrong.

Is Penny-Arcade really a joint venture. I always saw it more as "Gabe" has talent and that other guy just posts annoying things, thinking he is the God of Stuff. Could just be me, though.

Re: I want to start a comic with a friend...have questions..

What I need to know, though, is if we get a keenspace site, would be both be able to access it and update it, or would only one of us be able to maintain it? Yes, as mentioned above, both of yous can maintain. And I hope that your joint endevour goes off better than mine. I'm supposed to be doing a...

has anyone ever mentioned trying to set up a site that's specifically devoted to keenspace fan arts. like a gallery with different sections for different comics? sure, it would be a cross promotional explosion. But I think it'd be really fun to have one place to see all the fan art (aside from this ...

hmmm. good question. My comic started out with hand lettering and has only recently started using fonts. I'm not really sure why I made the switch. I really enjoy doing my own lettering. But it looked weird with the direction my comic is going, so I opted for the cg stuff. I want to say that I think...

Yeah. Community is important. I whole heartedly agree with you there. And I later checked about your applying setup (my mistake). But I digress, Yeah, It's about community. And I respect that a great deal. And since there is nothing that is stopping me from being part of the transplant or keenspace ...

Welcome, new guy. You couldn't possibly have found a better forum to be part of. I'm still having horrible nightmares about the penny-arcade forums. Those people are jerk faces. They think they are god's gift to webcomics. Especially since only, like, 10 of them actually write or draw a strip. Here,...

I don't know about the 24-hour comic deal, since the appeal, at least to me, was the sense of community involved with such an event (i.e. comic book stores staying open 24 hours to give artists a place to set up shop and be amongst other writer/artists). I don't know if we have that kind of pull on ...

wow. christwriter. I am very happy with the new artistic shift. you seem to be getting better every day. I remember reviewing your comic a while back and it's good to see a webcomicer advancing at such a fast pace. Keep up the good work and good luck at your new digs.

What? No. I love keenspace. I'm just curious about these sites. Curious as to why someone would offer me free hosting when I already have free hosting.

spiderspawn and tansplant comics?

Does anyone know anything about these sites? Mostly, are there any benefits to said sites? Do they have any Street Cred? Is there anything that makes them better or worse than Keenspace (comicgenesis)? Should I avoid their hosting as I would avoid a rabid bear with a chainsaw? The reason I ask, is b...
