A problem with PW for anyone who isn't in the first few pages of it, is that it loads SO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW. Who has the patience to sit there for five minutes waiting for a page to load, to see if there are any sites with decent readership and cheap slots? I've just bought an ad slot on Keffria's site...

I like your website! Reading the reviews you've written so far, though, I am now feeling sad... OOTS has its horrible imitation. Now also Little Gamers has its own horrible imitation (which you reviewed and rightly did not recommend)... Booohooo I don't have any horrible imitator! I faaaaaaiiiiil! /...

Re: Gender, huh, good god, y'all
Alison Bechdel, of Dykes To Watch Out For and Fun Home (and if you haven't read Fun Home yet, you must! You must! It is worth every penny you will spend on it!), invented something called the Bechdel Test/Mo's Movie Measure. Basically, a mov...

I'm only up to page 10 in this awesome thread but I'm already psyched about starting a random epic webcomic saga about me and elf Jesus and our crazy adventures in Japan. Back to reading the remaining 4 pages before I write my pet peeves. OK, done reading! Just as an aside, I've just read through al...

And it looks like a ripoff of that other crappy webcomic, The Order of the Stick Umm. It ISN'T? I confess I had the same thought when I first saw it. Well, except that I like OotS. - Joel Fagin Ditto. To the OP. I know that it hurts to have a spiteful blogger rip your comic to shreds, but he does h...

I use Cbox and it's great. I can delete posts, ban user IPs - and what's even better my name (as an admin) displays in red - so that annoying guy in China can no longer pretend to be me greeting people in bad English! He wasn't even rude or anything, but if anyone posted a compliment he'd answer pol...

The best advice that Stephen King gives in his book "On Writing" is write about what you know (which is disturbing coming from him - never stay at his favorite winter resort). Don't worry if what you know and what you want to write about is an overdone topic like rpgs - after all you're going to do ...

Though my characters won't talk about it, I need to hint at child abuse and that's a part I really dread.... but I'm more worried about how I'm gonna illustrate it. I don't want it to be too visually disturbing. I'd make the sounds and voices come out of an open door viewed from a dark empty corrid...

I am sort of shy with strangers so I can feel quite uncomfortable at times, at conventions. Especially when someone tells me how they like my comic and all they get in reply is a "ah...uh... thanks...". I saw people at the uk comic con who were chirpy and chatty and smiling all the time and could sm...

I do it because I have so much fun doing it. It's all so rewarding, from thinking up an episode that I know will work well, to drawing it, to fleshing it out with colour, to waiting for people's reactions and seeing if anyone's noticed the easter eggs and hidden references, etc. It's an addiction. I...

Actually putting your website URL on your comics is also probably a good idea from the standpoint of someone ripping you off online. Then when they do at least people can easily find their way back to your site and either become readers or tell you about the theft. Otherwise they might just assume ...

my medium makes fanservice pretty hard... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Dammit, I'll throw away that request that I was going to email you!
