It's all good Al, and I agree with you for the most part. But Ghastly refers to an event that took place solemnly on this forum and was never plugged nor even mentioned outside it. That was indeed done purely for the purpose of fun, so don't go generalizing the situation like we're all starving for...

Spacers are getting my newsbox traffic. Webcomic artists are getting dirt cheap advertising prices. Now where h...

Re: >>

Here are two examples of simple URL thingying that can be done with Flash. Clicking on the pink Keenspace area directs the browser to http://www.keenspace.com . Clicking anywhere else on the images will direct the browser to the respective comic's site. http://chu.keenspace.com/public_folder/Movie1...

Yes. I've made a little bit of Javascript that can detect Flash on all major browsers and run a gif or other HTML or what have you if it can't find FLash OR run Javascript. I use it for my news boxes.

It seems like an excuse. Unlikely. It was the advertisers who complained and they don't need excuses. They probably just happened to notice it then. - Joel Fagin Correct. Parts of Spot when down for about 10 minutes a few days ago. A server needed rebooting after running 2 months non-stop.

Most of these "waaahh! Spot is down" issues now are mostly DNS problems or some half-wit tripping over routers.
